I love the way teachers, dean and even the principal gets involved in the students education. My daughter started as an Honor Roll student and she is graduating with honor roll and passed 3 high school regents before starting high school. If students wants to learn, this is the best school for a student to be successful, if they don't want to be successful this is not the school for you. I want to thanks everybody who was and still involved in my daughter's education for helping her to succeed.

I went to this School when it was I.S.174 Eugene T. Maleska. It's not the teachers that are bad. It's the lack of discipline parents instill in there children. These teachers deserve respect from their students and that is taught at home. Parents need to do a better job of monitoring your own children and quit pointing fingers at the faculty and/or staff. Parents need to reflect on the child's actions and hold them accountable.

This school is a mix between good and bad. First of all, some of the teachers are unnecessarily rude to their students and hardly even teach their students. However, some teachers actually care for their student's futures and wish the best for them and even sacrifice their own personal time for them. Second of all, the students. For my 3 years in this school, I've never seen such disrespectful little brats. Some like to jump on tables, scream in hallways, and playfight a lot; but I've never seen true bullying and actual anger towards eachother. On the other side, some students are actually caring and are easy to socialize with. I'm graduating this year and this is all i have to say: I do recommend this school to all parents who wonder if they should go to this school. Just remember that like in every other school, it isn't perfect and has its problems.

Thank you teachers for the dedication, interest on both of my kids. One is about to graduate high school. The other middle school. They have been there since 6th grade. I have so much to be thankful. You help me solve my son's problem when he was being bullied. When he was losing interest in school.. You offer so many programs in order to keep kids focus and help them to achieve what they are striving for.

I am now a graduate of Archimedes Academy (fist graduating class) by the way . I would have to say my experience in Archimedes for 5 year has been an amazing journey. People may say Archimedes is a bad school but I do not feel you can comment on the school if you have not attended the school yourself. This school has problem's like any other school, but if you went to this school from the beginning when it all started you will see that there has been major growth.From starting with no sports at all to winning chairmanships in sports.This school is so family orientated and that one thing I loved the most. The teachers care about the students on a whole other level in term of hard work , advise in life and in the way you carry yourself as a young adult. I feel that if your child does not apply themselves then there the ones losing out on the great experience this school has to offer. The one problem that I would have to say is that the school needs to gain more organization skills.This school is just stating up so I guess they needed some time to get the hang of things. Other then that I love this school so much and the people there will always be family. I have learned a lot form my days here, that I feel will help me in my life goals.For those with the negative comments why did you allow your child to stay in the so called "worst school in New York"? and also what school do you know that has all good kids ?

This school is dominated by Caucasian teachers (97%), the students rights are being taken away. Students are being bully and threatened into submission by a group of teachers. They just suspended a group of students because one parent decided to confront a male staff. This particular staff is a wolf in a sheep clothing. He reduces a female teacher to tears and they cover it up. On top of all this they have the nerves to tell me they created a MONSTER (my child). Well the monster mother will be taking all this a little further since the captain of the ship has disserted the helm of the school. You all come down on my child and making her feel like she is crap today and that her feelings doesn't count after she told you all she felt threatened by the male staff. Current parents question your child and you will be surprise of the things they see and hear. Why is there only a handful of black teachers in a school that is predominantly black?. Is it because this school served low-income families? Is it because these young Caucasians teachers will be getting $17,500.00 of their federal student loan forgiven? Just saying his now!!!!

There are lots of homework. And even though some of the kids are stubborn it's a great school and I am a historian, in my social studies classroom .And I love my social studies teacher, ( Ms Agron) She is really great and I can assure u that there is no more bullying or less because I am a new girl in the school and I haven't seen anyone bullying. To me ARCHIMEDES is a great school And I love it and I always will.:-) 🙂 🙂

I love this school my son attended from sixth grade all the way to 12th grade and he just recent graduate from that school. I give thanks to the teachers,principal, guidance consular's for all the efforts they put in my son. Me and husband are very thankful to all of you.
