AVOID! The level of dysfunction, apathy and unprofessionalism is not worth the long wait time to see a physician. The memory test appointment was double booked. After waiting a year for a follow up appointment with a physician, the clinic didn't honor the appointment that they scheduled. I've never experienced a more disorganized provider group and they are providing services to vulnerable patients with memory issues. Such a disgrace to the community with no motivation to change their practices based on years of bad reviews and complaints. DO NOT trust this practice with your care or your loved ones care/assessment. They will only worsen your symptoms!

So much less than acceptable. Very long waiting times to get an appointment. Can never get anyone on the phone. Every phone leads to a phone tree and no matter which you choose, you can only leave a msg. Doctors/staff never return calls. They diagnosed me with AD. It's now a month later, no idea of treatment plan, if rx for infusion meds has gone thru, absolutely no support/advocacy for patients. Now, I've
read that they actually contact the DMV to cancel your license! One star at best 🤬

I submitted my intake information in June 2024 and repeatedly asked when I would be scheduled. Each time, I was told they were onboarding patients into a new system, and I was promised an update. Now, in September, I’m being told they’re scheduling for July 2025. A year-long wait for an appointment is both unethical and dangerous for those in need of medical care.

Heather Wynne Phillips was the nurse practitioner. I will never forget her. I took one of my daughters with me. I didn’t feel that I had dementia but my hearing was bad and I have since gotten hearing aids so my children were concerned. I have never met a more rude person. So unprofessional. She found a 5 year old MRI and turned it around proudly to show to my daughter telling her that I had dementia even going so far as to tell us that I needed a driving test. I had just come back from driving to DC. This was about 4 years ago and am still a safe driver. The very worse part of this is that I trusted my daughter to not repeat what was said in there. She broke my trust and told my youngest child who I’m told became very upset and worried about me. She was my closest daughter but had her own health problems and I didn’t want to worry her. Partly because of this, she took her own life thinking I had dementia. My world has fallen apart. I can think clearly although I wish I couldn’t. I didn’t know that my other daughter had broken our trust so I was unable to alleviate my youngest daughters fears as I didn’t know that she had talked to her sister until after she died. I never approached my youngest daughter about this as I didn’t know the trust with another daughter had been broken. Perhaps I could have prevented her death had we talked. I am beyond devastation. My life will never be the same. I adored my youngest daughter. She meant everything to me. Our family tríes to live with this deception every day. I have a psychiatrist that I now go to who has assured me that I do not have dementia and that what that nurse told me was incorrect. I live with what happened every day.

My family had an awful and unfortunate experience at the Byrd Institute. We waited several months for an appointment due to the wonderful things the website says about the Byrd Institute. We thought we were coming to a center of excellence providing care via a multidisciplinary team. We walked into our appointment for our family member only to see a Nurse Practitioner (whom we would not recommend). She was rude, unethical, lacked compassion and integrity, threatened to revoke our family member's license with no merit. Then, falsely and incorrectly documented the visit. She documented diagnoses that do not exist, statements and quotes that were never said, and portrayed our family member in this documentation completely inaccurate. We did not return to the Byrd Institute and sought care elsewhere with a much better experience. I would highly recommend seeking care and evaluation elsewhere.

I saw Dr. Kyle Wuthrich in neurology at this location and I am extremely satisfied with him. He was so patient after being stuck in traffic we were 20 mins late and they still took us. He was very thorough with his exam, kept asking what concerns we had. I mean just so professional and kind!!! Thank you to all of the wonderful office staff that took care of us today.
