Terrible experience. Directly above the freeway so the apartment was constantly noisy. The light fixtures were rusted and the buttons on the microwave didn’t work (we placed multiple maintenance requests and after 8 months still did not have a fully functional microwave). The air conditioner is restricted to within a few degrees, so you can’t even choose your desired temperature. The laundry machines were consistently down and were not fixed. The gym was closed for months upon moving in.

I’d hope moving out was easier, but it was just as painful as living there. No option to break your lease, so I had to pay three months for an overpriced apartment I wasn’t living in.

As a final cherry on top, after finally moving out I was then contacted four month later claiming I didn’t turn in the correct keys even though the paper signed when I moved out shows the keys were correct.

Truly the worst experience I’ve had renting in 6 years, do NOT recommend.

I have never experienced a more verbally aggressive and abusive person than Dana (the supposedly self proclaimed property manager). I have filled 3 separate complaints to the property owner about her in the past 2 years and all have been ignored.

Not only does this woman not address any issues but she makes it a point to use humiliation tactics and harassment against the residents when they try to express themselves.

I am truly baffled at how she is currently employed and hope that no one has to go through any form of interaction with this woman.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND LIVING HERE (because of Dana) otherwise I am satisfied with every other aspect of this property.

It’s my second quarter at UVT and so far everything has been great. Fast internet connection, several study rooms including 24/7 printing room. There’s a laundry room on every floor, a 24/7 gym downstairs, 2 elevators, parking, security at night. UCR is within 12-25 mins walking distance (depending on the campus spot and your pace:)). Several dining options around the corner (@University Village Plaza). The Office and maintenance staff are always super-friendly and helpful.
I am in 1b1b and my unit is spacious and has a beautiful view over the street and on the mountains. Compared to what I hear from my classmates staying at other places, UVT is offering one of the best furnished apt options possible. All kitchen equipment was already here: microwave, oven, dishwasher, a huge fridge. Apart from that kitchen/guest room had a couple of chairs and a dining table, TV table and a coffee table, a set of sofa+chair. The bedroom has 1 wardrobe closet, a bed with a mattress and a study desk +chair. So, you would only need to buy few extra items like bathroom curtains, bedsheets and cushions, extra lamps etc. which is easily manageable.
There are no hidden costs – utilities and Internet are included so everything is transparent.

Nice building. Secure. The carpet is dirty. Close to Freeway which is not good. There are many places to eat. Rent is high but can not complain because it is one of the lowest in the area.

There’s only two positive things about my stay in UVT.
Being able to live with the roommate of my choice, and the friendly and quick maintenance team.
Aside from those everything here since day 1 was not as expected.
Dana from the leasing office is incredibly rude to any complaints about the cleanliness inside and outside of the apartments, dismissive about parking issues, and does not have an appropriate tone of voice when addressing resident issues.
The presumed student workers, or rather workers who handle the package system, are very unprofessional and would complain about their job in front of residents, and did not make me feel comfortable to ask questions. Any real housing question I had, I had to go to the leasing office to get a real answer I could trust.
The room shown on the tour was not at all similar to what I received and as far as I could tell there are no rooms that actually resemble it.
The leasing office would be closed randomly with no prior warning and would close earlier than their stated opening and closing times.
The pool and hot tub were always dirty, the computers were incredibly slow, the hallways were very dirty, and there’s been a washer on floor 3 that has been broken since before I moved in. It was only after winter break that I noticed a slight improvement in the washers and dryers and even then I still needed to pay twice to actually get my clothes dry even if I separate them to make the load less bulky. My roommate’s furniture was shoved into mine when we first moved in and we had to get a random maintenance person to move it back to the right room. The lights were rusty, most of the outlets didn’t work, the ac kept breaking, my window didn’t lock on its own, and the elevators were disgusting.

I genuinely like living here. I’d say that my only issue is the laundry. I just wish there was more washers and dryers.

I've lived here for 2 years and experienced changes in several wall colors from yellow to gray. Love this place and will recommend it to my friends. My roommates were changed each year, fortunately, UV towers helps me to match them well, and we become really good friends.

Each floor has its laundry room, it's open to all residents, but it's been maintained regularly, so they are not really messy as other laundry places outside.

UV towers are closed to freeways, but I've never been bothered by noise because windows are double-shield. Noise won't be able to go through as long as windows are closed. It will be completely quiet and sound-proof. Even no noise from next door because walls are not made in woods. Views are pretty good on the top, by the way.

leasing office staffs are friendly, even during the pandemic. Even though everyone in the office might give different solutions, they're all willing to solve problems ASAP.

I just got my deposit back less than 2 months after I move out on August 31st, and they deduct money fairly. I almost get all my money back. I will definitely miss this place!

I wouldn’t even give this place one star. Most of the staff here are very friendly, except for one person who replied my email. This person seems to trying to force me move out to avoid addressing the problem. I reported the noise issues I was experiencing every day since the beginning of the summer until now. They claimed it was due to apartment renovations from 8 am to 5 pm, which I can understand. However, there were other noises outside of these hours, such as bed movement. I reached out in hopes that the issue would be properly addressed, but the apartment took no action. I’ve been a resident here for three years and am very disappointed. I do not recommend living here. Also, there are a lot of cockroaches here.
