I have graduated from this school and the teachers here are not very enthusiastic about teaching and academics.

There are many very irresponsible teachers in professional courses. I didn't have a good experience at all in some basic classes. The teachers didn't care whether you mastered the content or not, they were just messing around with the time. real!

From an academic perspective, many courses engage in meaningless debates. These add no value to society and do not help students succeed.

I think this school isn't even as good as a lot of community schools, which you can find a lot of.
Would not recommend anyone to go to this school, not only is it expensive but you won't get anything you want.

The employment rate and average salary of graduates can tell it all. Anyone is welcome to check on US News. Many humanities teachers use tutorial PPTs from ten years ago that have never been updated. Going to school here is probably the decision I regret the most.

The only logical step after equating speech with violence is to allow speech to be met with violence. Diversity of thought is lacking at this campus, and that lack of diversity is a direct result of the campus leadership. STOP using our tax dollars to fund these pseudo education systems.

I gave UMKC 5 stars since I emotionally hope my university to be rated well. This school has lots of support for students, such as library, there are enough funds for the students to apply for them to get their own equipment for class projects. But not many students go there for that. There are writing centers all over the campus that you can use for grammar checking for your paper or resume. As a student, you can also find a tutor or get academic help from student success center. Even though I didn't use those resources while I was a student, I think it is great for a university to have the resources.

I earned entrepreneurship scholarship and attended that program for half a year. That program is awesome for you to get connections with attorneys, potential investors or coach from professor or volunteer business owners. As an international student, I love my school because the faculty is so helpful and the classmates are very nice.

I think this school needs more time to grow and train the administrators to run the school better. But overall, this is a great school to attend. I hope to see the staff know better about their work and the university leader focus on improving the student service to another level to better prepare the students to meet their personal goal in the future.

This is a horrid school for computer science and they do not care about the students' education at all.

The professors here seem to be horribly unorganized. They seem to bounce around with who will be teaching you within the same semester, leaving you with a mess of grading expectations and teaching lectures. The grading is done sporadically. In fact, in my current programming class for the spring semester, I have not received a single grade. It is beyond me how you are expected to improve if you have no idea how well you are actually doing on any of the material.

Classes can be taught by legitimate students, something I have never had happen before (I am a transfer student). I would not mind this as much if they were at least knowledgeable about the topic they are teaching or able to convey the lessons in a decent way, but they cannot. Referring back to my programming class, I am completely convinced this school hired someone who is not only completely unqualified to do this but does not actually know the programming language this individual is assigned to teach. In addition to being a student, this individual is never prepared, has yet to write a functioning program without the students walking him through what to do, and will "cover" a topic for about 15 minutes. I could go on, but I feel like what's been explained here is enough. Every CS course I have taken at this school except one has been like this.

I have complained to this school's administration about my concerns with the professors and the department to be met with essentially a shrug.

If you are going for a CS degree, pass this place up. You will most certainly receive a sub-par education and poor teachers. This place does not care and , frankly, you will be paying thousands to learn nothing.

Liberal minded professors that teach their political views in class- if you pay thousands for an education be fully prepared for liberal indoctrination. If you are looking for quality I'd look elsewhere. Its a shame the university allows this behavior from professors and students on campus.
New to the campus, they've added urinals in the women's bathrooms. So men feel more comfortable when they use the ladies facilities.
