This school has a lot of potential, unfortunately the residency programs offered after graduation are not up to par with American civilian residencies - Military medicine is at horrific standards often compromised and tainted with the most oppressive and dysfunctional value system at the cost of war efforts, politics and dated patriarchal beliefs that will have you questioning your own ethics and morals. I would think twice before accepting a scholarship here. You can always join the reserves, accept a contract through a private practice, work your way to the top, or find a comparable school now offering "free tuition.." the price of selling your soul is LITERALLY the price of selling your soul and truly, freedom is NOT free. Buyer be warned.

Attending here for the past years for the OTC and always received a courteous and friendly welcome. Well organized and every time a good experience. If vetting and base access for civilians is done in advance, no issues to get on base without issues

For commercial/contractor visitors to the campus, be prepared to wait >1-2 hour at the University Rd vehicle screening gate if you arrive M-F 8-11am. The vehicle line hardly moves, and they usually only have one line open.

I worked as a contractor for USU. I notified them that I will be needing maternity leave for the birth of my daughter and they fired me two days later. I strongly discourage working for a place like that.
