I am currently finishing up my degree in social work. I am so happy with my academic journey at UMG that I am going to further my education with them. This is an excellent university with outstanding academic support. The professors go above and beyond and truly care about the success of each student. From advising to onestop each staff member is kind and caring. They promptly return emails and answer all your questions. This is a very active university that offers nonstop support and they are fully engaged with students. I highly recommend them and they will support your dreams and goals along the way. They define higher online education and learning. They have earned a five star review. Your dreams at UMG are only a click away!

This is an amazing university. They do not disappoint. Outstanding staff, advisors and professors. I am very proud to be a student here and I hold them at a very high regard and that is no easy task that’s for sure. They have not only met but exceeded all my expectations. You will not regret it.

Coaches and advisors won't help you and they will provide unclear, unhelpful answers on purpose, and their "MyPath" program is full of one/one and a half credits courses meant to slow you down. Most professors (with some notable exceptions) don't care about teaching or providing meaningful feedback, and several of them sport PhDs obtained at for-profit non-regionally accredited universities (that won't stop them from copying and pasting the same feedback over and over, assignment after assignment; the power of a meme degree, I guess). I'm glad I cut my losses and moved to another regionally accredited institution featuring a healthier, more student-friendly approach to education (and that is not a "Global" version of a mainstream university).

Do your research and you'll find better alternatives. $3,300 for 6 months access (plus other fees that they disclose at the very last minute) may sound like a bargain, but it definitely isn't.

I’m in my 2nd year in their School Psychology program and have not had issues with them. Funding my education was quick, my advisor responds in a timely manner, most of my professors were understanding. Yes, it’s difficult being a student, working, and doing among other things. I'm grateful to be here. Do your research, work hard and you’ll get to where you want to be. Thank you !!!

The courses are extremely easy, these programs will not give you the tools to succeed in your career. I ended up dropping them because I was to busy at work and I wanted to pursue something else. After contacting my advisor (they will only contact you by email) I thought I was set to drop my classes within the grace period, everything went well so I thought but noticed I was charged anyways! My advisor was on vacation (for the 2nd time supposedly within a few months) so it got processed late according to him so now I’m speaking with a legal team to get this resolved. Luckily for me I have access to great lawyers but that may not be the case for everyone. Unless this is your only option, I suggest going with a different program.

Extremely dishonest commissioned salesman posing as legitimate admissions officers. Despite coming from an institution with an articulation agreement, UMass Global botched my transfer credit analysis. This resulted in almost half my transfer credit not transferring. This school is located in California where the laws are loose. It has nothing to do with Massachusetts.

I have to say that the negative reviews I'm seeing are surprising. I just finished my student teaching, the Master's in Education program and will be looking for a teaching job and beginning induction. I enjoyed the classes, really liked basically every professor and found the work load to be reasonable. Sure, some periods of time were rougher than others but that's to be expected. I never had any financial aid issues or problems getting questions answered from staff. I have to believe that the majority of complaints I'm reading are instances where the student themselves didn't do their due diligence. This new generation expects everything to be done for them and I think that's what is going on here. Anyways, I appreciated everything the University did for me and am glad I chose to attend.

haven't even started classes yet and I must say I am disappointed. The admissions team is horrible, especially the coach who I was assigned. He never responded to a single email, yet someone from admissions called every day. The phone system must not work because every time I answered a call I was either hung up on or the call immediately dropped. I asked for all communication to be through email.... still no response through email. My application was missing a few things - figuring out what was missing felt like a scavenger hunt because I had to go digging for the information. From day 1 I was given misinformation regarding classes, flexibility, and cost. Getting questions answered regarding cost is impossible - I start classes in less than two weeks and still don't know if I can even afford this. My advising coach made me feel like I was asking for too much when I asked some pretty standard questions regarding what is expected of me. It felt like she was consistently trying to avoid answering questions. The lack of organization and basic knowledge from the team is concerning. I really hope this is not an accurate representation of what the masters program will be like. At this point, I don't know why I am still considering going to school here.

*UPDATE* Senior leadership still has yet to reach out. Advising team has dropped the ball again. The financial team is the only team that is helpful and super nice. Admissions and advising are so uninformed that I am baffled as to how they even work here. I regret choosing this school and I havent even started classes yet. Someone needs to reach out and fix this ASAP or I will be declining my acceptance.
