My first visit here was to borrow a book. I did not know the way to the library. The staff was very helpful. They showed me the place to find the book and how to use the borrowing machine (it was different from that of other institutes). ?

Then, I met a colleague at a course who studied here. She is nice, friendly, and passionate for her research. So I guess the learning atmosphere in this institute can be good. ?

I hope to study here, and borrow more books from here, they are all very interesting! ?

Great library, but terrible receptionist on the Ground Floor.

It was a Saturday, where I called to ask for an item in the Lost and Found. On the phone, the receptionist (a black male in his 40s - apologies for the rude description, he refused to reveal his name) requested me to be physically at the institute to provide further information. Upon arrival, the same receptionist, without an effort to even look for the item, told me that I should instead head to the UCL MAIN CAMPUS on MONDAY.

I wasted 2+ hours and transport fares coming back and forth from my apartment. This situation could’ve been easily resolved on the phone.

Please take the necessary action to address this issue. Thank you.

Rather smart new research centre - dealing with rare diseases in children - and part of Great Ormond St Hospital. It’s worth checking out as a decent piece of 21C public architecture. There’s a nice open aspect to it - you can look down into the laboratory at the people in white coats moving test tubes about.

Good space, the Kennedy lecture theatre is of a good size and well equipped. The venue laid on a good range of drinks and food throughout the day.

I used this building from time to time as I am a UCL medical student, currently doing a BSc in Global Health. Generally a pretty good building and has a pretty decent library that can be used for studying.
