I’ve never left a negative review of a doctors’ office before, but I’m doing so now to hopefully help someone else save their money. Frankly, the only reasons I’m leaving two stars and not one is because the doctor was able to remove a scab from my eardrum (mildly helping my symptoms) and Lynn, who I spoke to in billing, was very kind and helpful. Otherwise, my experience was not great.

I’ve been dealing with ear issues and vertigo for the past 5 months. After seeing my primary care doctor and doing several antibiotics and almost every allergy/sinus related OTC medicine/nasal spray, I decided to see an ENT. Unfortunately, this was not helpful (other than the scab removal). After seeing the doctor and having a hearing test and balance test done, I left with no clear answer as to why I’ve been having these issues and why they aren’t clearing up. Each question I asked was met with some version of “it could possibly be…”. Possibly the worst part is that I paid $200 (I’m self pay) to have the doctor tell me to take Flonase, which I had told the nurse I’ve taken for four months (this was also in my chart). When I told him I’ve been taking Flonase, he recommended another over the counter nasal spray. I asked him if it was safe for breastfeeding and he said he thought so but I could Google it. Having the scab removed was helpful, but it was extremely frustrating to be told just to try a low sodium diet (in case it’s Meniere’s- again, no clear answer), google whether an OTC nasal spray was safe while breastfeeding, and to come back in 3 months. He did suggest allergy testing, but I chose not to do that (at least at this office) for reasons I will explain below.

In addition to the lack of clear answers and help, no one working there was particularly rude, but (aside from someone at the checkout desk and Lynn in billing) I found no one to be particularly kind or friendly. I felt shuffled along and like I had to fight to communicate my concerns to the nurses and doctor. I called back the day after my visit to request an antibiotic because I felt a sinus infection developing. The prescription was sent- but to the wrong pharmacy (I have the right pharmacy in my chart and on the app). Not a single person I spoke to on the phone about this apologized. I get this was a small mistake, but a kind and friendly staff would apologize for it and not accuse me of having the wrong pharmacy in my chart.

In summary, I’m not trying to be hateful, which is why I’m not naming the doctor that I saw. However, I feel very frustrated over the lack of help/answers I received and the overall lack of concern and basic kindness from most of the staff. I hope that my review can help someone else save their money and go elsewhere to receive help.

*I want to follow up my review to add that someone did reach out to me from this office to apologize for the issues I mentioned in my review. However, the only “solution” proposed was that I could see another doctor here for a second opinion, but I would still have to pay $200 to do so. I appreciate someone reaching out to me, but I’m not interested in paying $200 to repeat this experience.

Our first consultation with Dr Stephenson was excellent. He earned our trust and we will proceed with a procedure now scheduled to correct our son’s ENT issue. Very much appreciated!

The only complaint I have is feeling rushed as a new patient. I was going as fast as possible doing the new patient paperwork. Overall the experience was great! I’m glad to have such an amazing team with me as I go forward with my surgery and recovery. The staff is overall AMAZING and very attentive. I was really moved by the way they treated their adolescent patients including their siblings. And they even let me get some stickers for my niece which I loved and so did she. I’m rambling but I’m grateful to have met this wonderful group of doctors. Dr. Loftin really is a God send.

Very polite staff. I ended up going in on the wrong day and they still worked me in so I can be seen. The doctor was extremely nice and informative. I highly recommended.
