As a former student, I believe this school is unsafe and an appearance based institution. They focus more on students uniforms and not the creepy predatory teachers that reside on that campus. As a parent, you should take the necessary steps to avoid taking your child to this school. There have already been two teachers that have been caught for inappropriate behavior and I promise there are multiple more vile individuals. You should demand more for your child's education!

I am beyond thankful to have had the opportunity to complete my high school education at TERRA. I remember applying when I was in eighth grade and being wait listed due to the randomized process of the Magnet lottery. I was so sad, but luckily one of the best things happened and I got called from the wait list. If you are a middle school student or parent, pick a variety of feasible choices as acceptance in Magnet programs is never guaranteed. TERRA has a dynamic atmosphere of love, support, and academic rigor. Students may get caught up with having a tough class, strict teacher, or the like, but the truth is that TERRA provides a unique experience unlike any other high school. There will be homework, studying, and putting in great effort, but there is also a backbone of help and support from staff, PTSA, and teachers. I took 10 AP classes at TERRA and they have prepared me for the next step. I have had wonderful intellectual experiences learning about cultures, the English language, literature, Spanish, the economy, psychology, history, and the like. In retrospect, no matter how difficult I thought academics were, this rigor has given me stamina and prepared me for my college journey. There are tons of activities for students and there is a great emphasis for pushing students academically, but also motivating them to have fun through pep-rallies, dances, field days, and more. There is an extracurricular for everyone. This fall I will be attending the University of Pennsylvania and I owe TERRA a whole lot for paving my way to an elite institution and to future successes.

If there were 10 star rating I would give it that. I have to say that the principal of this school is one of the most kindhearted, compassionate and honest to God as humble as they come. In preparation of Hurricane Irma i went out looking for the best shelter for my family. Since the moment I walked into his School he welcomed me with open arms. Went out of his way to show me the classrooms to make sure we picked the best one for my family. During our stay he was always attentive to our needs and made sure we were informed and well. I had to write this because good genuine people should be recognized and he (I wish I remembered his name) exceeded all my expectations. I hope he gets commended for his act of kindness and excellence service to the community. I want to say Thank you to him and all his amazing staff and those awesome police officers which were so incredible too. The team from the American Red Cross and Fire Rescue were also incredible, never stop helping. Thank you all. I pray to God you're rewarded with health and a life of complete happiness. You gave me the comforts and peace of mind through this uneasy time. Thank you!!!🙏💕💕

TERRA is a really great school. It's really something else. Being a student here myself, I can say that from experience.
The teachers are top-notch, and the people are honest and encourage academic success. If you lose an iPod or a laptop here, you'll most likely get it back. That apparently doesn't happen often at other schools so it's a pretty big deal.
It's just different. It's a cut above the rest... in my experience anyway.

UPDATE: It’s been several years now since I graduated and I can’t speak highly enough of my time here. I’ve found that most people look back on their high school days in a negative light but I can truly say I found something special at TERRA. There’s new leadership now and many of my favorite teachers have moved on, but I’m sure the spirit of this school remains the same.

I could not be happier with the school. Coming from a private school, I thought it was going to be a shock for my daughter, it was not, to the contrary, I was very impressed with the principal. The environment is very safe. However, If you are not there to commit and give your 100% , this may not be the school for you. Terra kids are the cream of the crop you need to put a lot of effort.

If you are planning to be a successful individual, this will be your school, slacking off is not an option here kids, there are other schools to do that.

Expected an easy-going school. Just saying some of the Algebra 2 teachers there need to be demoted because the amount of work and strictness is actually unbelievable and unbearable, not a student can take that. The principal is actually one of the chillest people I have EVER seen, riding a pennyboard through school, but Terra definitely did not live up to my expectations. I have already left the school, but I want to help anyone coming to Terra next year, if you have Algebra 2, beware. Thank you.

Has to be the worst school my daughter has ever attended. The kids are very unfriendly and unwelcoming. Every day she is forced to eat alone and walk to her classes alone. She has to fight her way through the halls seeing that they choose to accept more kids than the school is able to hold. After doing this, half the kids have been expelled over petty things such as, wrong pants, 'C' grades, wearing a hoodie, tardies, attendance and other things. Lunch lines are too long and you probably wont eat if you decide to wait in line. Teachers are not well equipped to be in the classroom seeing how most don't have a teaching degree, just a field degree. Every project assigned has to be top of the line so expect to spend a good amount of money each week. Teachers are overall rude and ignorant and are in it for themselves and not the kids. There is no school spirit, school activities, pep rallies or homecomings. All this has been excluded due to the fact that they have nothing to do with science. The office staff, is lost and has no clue what they are doing. They do not check ID's when you are signing out a kid. It's difficult to find someone who actually can speak English and is willing to help. Kids are on their own once they enter the office. The school doesn't provide diversity with race or ethnicity and orientation. The principal is the most ignorant of them all. She has a super inflated ego and takes credit for the schools 'brilliance' when she is hardly ever in office and when she is she does nothing but punish kids. She is unprofessional and her bad moods are reflected on the kids. She is judgmental and those favored are put on a pedastool. Overall this school could use a new staff and new attitude. Think twice before applying and sending your child.

Doesn't live up to its hype, but I'm happy with it. Bullying is not a problem here AT ALL. Most of the kids are a bit nerdy; pokemon battles during lunch in cafeteria kinda kids. Nobody bothers anyone for doing what they like. Its run almost like a private school, so if your child comes from a so-so middle school, they will have a hard time adjusting to the rules. They are more strict than most high schools, and that's because they can be. If the child or parent does not like the Terra style, there is always their home school. Their spot will be filled as soon as the next day, since they have a long waiting list. I'm sure they have their fair share of moronic teachers, but so does every other high school. My child likes it there, despite the ever awful downside of not having a football team. To that, I say boo hoo. Neither does St. Brendan, Lourdes, Carrolton, and many other top notch schools, that produce top of the line college candidates.
