Everything today was nice. Hard to find parking for visitors close to dorms and REALLY hard for students to park near their dorms.(That needs to be addressed for safety). But campus was clean, everyone was nice, food was pretty good at the caf. Went to visit my daughter for the day.

As an international student, trust me—this is not the right choice for you. If you're a local and have other options, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Even the easiest electives are structured in a way that makes it unnecessarily difficult to earn a good grade while maintaining your mental well-being.

This university has a higher-than-average number of overly strict professors compared to other schools. They teach as if they were an Ivy League institution, creating the illusion of prestige, yet they remain relatively unknown.

If you decide to enroll here, you’ll remember these words. There are many great universities in the country—this is not one of them.

My child is looking into colleges and interested in Chemical Engineering. Techs campus was very impressive from the original meet and great to the tour and then meeting the professors for my child’s specific choice of majors. The professor Sanders passion for what he taught was obvious and made Tech my child’s #1 pick so far.
The recreation facilities to the cafeteria were all exceptional as was all the staff we encountered.

I barely got accepted here (didn't have to write an essay though). The campus is really nice and the Week of Welcome is cool as well. I can't wait for classes to start up! One negative is that ALMOST EVERY restaurant on campus is closed on Sundays. On the weekends in general, the restaurants open way later and close way earlier than normal. I wish they could change those hours, so we as on-campus students aren't just sitting in our dorms starving on the weekends, because everything is closed and the cafe closes at 7PM.

Tennessee Tech is in a class of its own. The quality of education found here is unparalleled by any other institution of its kind. I truly believe I received an education just as valuable as any around, and in some cases for a third or a quarter of the price. I can now say I'll graduate debt free in May with the skills necessary to excel in a graduate school environment. Just remember that in any situation, you only get out what you put in. Tech embodies that well.

I visited this school with my son who will be transferring from Community College next semester to a University. This is one of his three top choices. The people were very nice and we got a campus wide tour. They have many projects going on building new facilities, upgrading older buildings, and converting the campus into a pedestrian and bicycle friendly campus. They have some amazing facilities for the students.
