Love doing business Radio Shack in Sylacauga. The owner is kind and knowledgeable. Always teaching and helping out without pushing anything on you to buy. They have put quality sound in several of my vehicles and my pontoon. Enjoying the boom and a little flash back to my younger days.

I had gone in to buy a phone protector and asked if they could install a backup cam and was told yes just bring it in and I'll give you an estimate. Today I took my van there... Already had the wiring done to the back door. All this job would have entailed is taking off a panel and mounting the cam above my license plate.
"Oh no we don't do that"... So, what kind of rear cams have they been installing?
I give them one star because I could have been looking for another shop or doing it myself (which I'll probably do from lack of anyone knowing how in Sylacauga),and because I waited 20 minutes because he was in the back praying keeping customers waiting. He should do that on his own time.

I rather do not like this store. I understand that technology can be difficult to work sometimes and many often buy stuff not right for what they want so I get the whole idea of asking a few questions about what one is trying to do.

Here’s my problem. God forbid one does do their research and knows just what they want right down to the part number. Well, that's not good enough for this crew. I know I’m in the south and all but for Christ sake, that doesn’t make me stu'pid unless of course by stupid, you mean being dumb enough to go in there and expect good service.

Owner/operator refused to honor product and workmanship. Purchased and had backup camera installed by this store. After 4 months camera ceased to work and I returned to the store for assistance. He took vehicle to the back and returned saying he could not find problem but asked me to return when I could leave vehicle for a couple of hours and to bring my receipt. Due to my work and it being my service truck it was 2 months before I could return to leave the truck for repair. When I returned 2 mos later he refused to honor the receipt when he knew there was a problem 2 months earlier and asked me to return to have it repaired. He knew there was a problem prior to the 6 mos. warranty but would not honor it. In addition to this rating I am filing a complaint with Better Business Bureau. He blamed it on company policy. I blame it on his pocket book. He's a crook.

Purchased box and sub for jeep wrangler tj, I specifically told the salesman to verify box fit that specific jeep. He said it was the correct one so I Purchased box plus subs, needless to say it didn't fit, nor did he want to refund. He did refund for box but not for subs. Subs was never installed plus he charged me $50 more than what I could have bought directly from MTX, plus buy directly from MTX they will refund your subs. All this bs after I specifically asked salesman if he would take back if it was the incorrect, he said sure no problem, until you take something back. Buyers beware, when you try to by locally and you get scammed. Sorry for all the good locally owners who do right, this is why Amazon is taking over from brick and motor, no questions asked and good return policy.

Holy cow what a store. The gentleman behind the counter was an absolute saint. They had everything I needed and knew exactly! What I was looking for.

This is my new favorite store and I will be back...Frequently!

Omg this is awesome.... Srry still geeking out at the wall of individual electronic components.

Nowhere else in this state have I found a place where I can walk in and buy a 100ohm resistor same day. And wow if you want car audio equipment. This is the place! They have the knowledge and the parts. 10\10 will DEFINITELY be back.
