I was a part of this chamber for a few years. I have to say I enjoyed the people (business owners) and the fun events. But after a few years, if you are a growing business, you outgrow the same old same old. I was told by an employee of the chamber that if I stopped volunteering and showing up at events I wouldn't be missed. I took her advice.

Over the years, I've worked with many Chambers of Commerce but this one goes above and beyond to create opportunities for growth and education for both the businesses and communities they represent. The Sauk Prairie Chamber of Commerce has an excellent, very professional team working behind the scenes. This is a top-notch organization.

This town, unfortunately like most small towns these days, is led by incompetent and corrupt "leaders". Pet projects and development is steered towards associates and inconsiderate priorities. The ongoing neighborhood development is flawed at best, manipulating zoning laws to benefit a few, with traffic patterns that are abusing certain legacy streets and neighborhoods, in order that corrupt "higher end" developments can be created. The impacted public isn't adequately involved in decision making or compensated for the township's unfair or stupid decisions. Anger and degradation of cohesion is developing with potential nasty side effects. The police are useless, especially in relation to community communications, and enforcement of reckless driving and noisy vehicles. Unless the town starts addressing these abuses, especially related to development decisions and unfair traffic, and balances out glamorous projects with community usability, a risk for public backlash is brewing!
