Very clean and spacious office with kind and knowledgeable employees. I was able to purchase the computer of my choice in less than 10 minutes. Happy with the affordable price and the fact that it came with MS Office! Highly recommend this business for any students looking for a computer and excellence service.

I am traveling and being without my laptop would be a major inconvenience. The staff at San Diego Futures took pity on me and fixed my laptop the same day that I brought it in. I couldn't be more appreciative. Thank you everyone!!!

Some years ago I purchased a refurbished laptop, in very nominal amount of money, and still to this day working fine. I'm recommending to any of my friends to purchase from them. Or any issues with their LPTP, or PCS. I thank you.

We just purchased a refurbished laptop from SDFF and are very impressed with the experience. We had intended to get their tech's to fix an old desktop, but they showed us exactly how to do it ourselves with built in software on Windows 10. They showed us that the old computer was worth about as much as it would cost for them to fix it and said it would be better to try and fix it ourselves. That is the honest and thoughtful attitude that characterizes this service. As we knew we had to replace the desktop with a more mobile solution, we asked to see what laptops they had to sell. We were blown away at the prices for fairly recent models which they have refurbished and supply a 1-year warranty for. The two technicians who helped us were very skilled at speaking slowly and clearly for people who are not techies. They displayed a wealth of knowledge and wisdom in their field and I recommend them to anyone for fixing and selling computer hardware. They also have great prices for accessories.

Unless you are trying to have an actual desktop computer repaired, I would not attempt to attain technological service from this entity. I have called this entity in the past, hopeful I could progressively navigate from basic telephone, and basic computer-user workings of apps and settings variances, to be directed through nothing but automated recordings and voice-mails. I just stopped in to their storefront office, without the device, hopeful someone could translate the terminology of the 200+ settings of the device I currently am employing, which was in the vehicle parked right outside. The linguistic comprehension of the front desk alone was not conducive to plain colloquial English. Needful to say, I was directed to "class offerings" with physical "hosting" by the public library system, and that seems to be the only helpful option if one is willing to sit through an in-person tutorial and allocate some time afterward.

In short, this entity offers desktop computer repair, classes, and sales of refurbished, used equiptment. San Diego Futures Foundation could not help with digital literacy beyond whatever is offered at the public library, and that may or may not be adequate to gain effective, contemporary digital skills. The clerk also refused to help with suspected security issues, functionability, or efficacy, and could not direct toward any entity to address security concerns besides law enforcement, who thus far only provides reports on suspected activity on an incident by incident basis.

This entity is definitely getting removed from my contacts list, but will keep them in mind if I need a word processor repaired, or to purchase something of that nature.
Regardless of what I do or where I go, I am basically being told that whatever I am doing is not the correct modality: when I switched to a smartphone, I have been "SLAPP"ed,* (in social and civil form, and not in judicial system terms) from employing that, when I utilize in-person inquiries, I am "SLAPP"ed off of that, the same when I call, use a public-access desktop, or write letters. There are no other forms of communication... If that is you, also, this place will also not help you.

*SLAPP : strategic lawsuit against public participation. (In my instance, has "only" incorporated illegal and wrongful "street justice" having little to do with the judicial system, and arises in accumulated civil harassment, disallowances, terminations, and other social penalizations, including and not limited to theft, petty theft, and violent assault, and previously infractions and other legal actions)

The people that are there to help you, are the most awesome caring people. Any questions are answered completely, expertly & they make sure that you understood their answers. I've been there 2xs 4yrs apart. Two different addresses, different set up inside, different people there to help you. BUT, they had the computer I was hoping for at the best price ever. These people really want families, families w/small & school aged children to know how to use computers & other electronics so they'll succeed in schools. If mom/dad never used a computer, they have classes. I recommend San Diego Futures Foundation!! If you're low income, have difficulties making ends meet but need a computer, or another electronic this
Wins, hands down. The items are refurbished, very low priced, no core charge. Plus you have access to the support team. What's not to love?
