This company is really behind on technology. There is not a way to arrange automatic payments… something I prefer. You are charged extra for using a card… most people use card. The hours of operations are inconvenient for working people. If the website was up-to-date, this could vastly improve the experience. Even an online chat would be great.

I have been a customer with Poplar Grove for many years and I appreciate everyone that works their and there service. We may not agree with the prices for water and gas but thats not on the employees... we are responsible for our own bills. I've never had a bad experience with them and everyone there has always greeted me with a smile. Last winter in 2020 we all were shut in for about week due to the storm and we never lost water or gas service. I appreciate all the work they do that goes unnoticed.

I paid our bill the day we got it, and put it in the mail. I noticed the check had not cleared the bank. I checked our account online, and our bill was late! I paid online (so disappointed, we got late charges!) Great news! Check finally cleared bank! When I called the office, I was greeted professionally and now our account has a credit, including refunded late charges! I was told that lots of checks were "lost in the mail" but all accounts have been adjusted! Great and professional service from Poplar Grove Associates!

Not the worst company but they definitely need to change some of their policies. My last name hadn't been changed on my license when my husband and I went to sign up for gas and water. I had our marriage license and house documents and I wasn't allowed to be added to the bill.

If they had a spot for zero or negative stars, this place would get it. Every negative review is true. If you read a positive review, it’s probably a paid for one or they are neighbors. They will wish they had been much nicer when we are able to choose a different company (very soon coming). THINK THESE RUDE PEOPLE WILL HAVE A JOB THEN? In with the NEW as the OLD slowly fades out! You gotta think, even if the NEW WATER COMPANY offers the same price and better customer appreciation all these clients of poplar grove will move over to the new company.

I have had service since August 2021 and have not received the first bill. I was told I had requested no paper bill but I told her I want a bill in the mail. Still no bill. I have tried to pay online but since I had a previous account with them, I was told I may have problems with the system wanting to revert back to my old residence service. i have paid late every month because for some reason even though I sent in a voided check for my payment to come directly out of my checking account the bill is still not being paid. They blame everything on the post office.

These people are extremely rude and they should be locked up for robbery. They will not give you any type of extension and if they cut your water off the reconnect fee is more than the bill itself. This should be illegal! They do anything they can to charge extra money taking advantage of the poor. Shame on you Poplar Grove!

I would like to thank everyone at Poplar Grove Utility for the wonderful job they provided in resolving any issue or complaints I might have had. I have been a customer for 30yrs+ and they have never been rude or hateful to me. I have learned when ever people don't have their way they have a tendency to blame others. Again thank you Poplar Grove Utility for your kindness over the years.
