This place is a joke! We were always denied a visit with our daughter because we were out of state. There was always an excuse as to why we couldn’t come down to see her. When she was finally discharged she was 40-50 pounds overweight. We didn’t even recognize our own child. She came out worse than when she went in to the facility. I feel they discharged her because we kept asking questions and demanded proof of therapy. She also came out on 12 different medications. This place should be shut down or at least investigated for child neglect & abuse. They are only in it for the money.

Absolutely horrible experience here. It started off good I thought, but it turned bad and got worse. I won't go into all the details but they definitely aren't interested in honesty and mental health. They're just interested in their paychecks. I would recommend going somewhere else if you care about your child and and him actually getting REAL HELP.

Also HUGE HIPPA violations and while upper management stated in a CFT that they would contact me about it, it's been a month and still no word. A staff member was arrested for what she did to my son and all the staff that were well aware, are STILL THERE.

I was a patient here if you can even call it that. I was forced to be here by my adopted parents who along with PRTC were just in it for the money. Like I said I was forced to be here for a year and a half this was not the worst treatment center I have stayed at but by god It was not good. From my personal experience I would never send any kid here no matter what. Your child is a making of your own actions whether you chose to admit it or not. I am 23 years old and I am traumatized by this place but I am grateful for the life experience because it has made me the man I am today. I have just sat here and read all for the reviews and comments that have been made about this place and I can tell you the comments that say this place has come a long way and that this place cares about your kids and children in general are either people that work here or people that run this awful place, because I can tell you if they gave these kids in here phone this place would be shut down that day. Please take my word and DONT send your children here I have been in this place like I said for a YEAR AND A HALF. If you love your kids and you car about their well being and mental health this is not the place for them. Save your money and take them to therapy your self. I know it’s hard sometimes to deal with how your kids show there emotions but just remember when you were a kid and your parents told you to just knock it off or just used the word NO. You are allowing this behavior and YOU need to make the change. All I am saying is they learned it from somewhere and you need to find the source and fix it. Don’t send your kid away because it’s to hard to deal with the behavior these people are taking advantage of the fact that you can’t deal with the kids you decided to have. I know this post is going to upset a lot of people but it is the truth and it’s time people accepted it and time for the people that it’s upsetting to make that change.

I have read most of the reviews for this place. I know I cannot speak to the other families experiences but I can try to explain ours.

We had a child go through this program from July 2023-January 2024. Of course during that time we dearly missed our child. At first, we were extremely skeptical of the staff and the changes in therapists when he started. I know these places have turn-over and it concerned us. But we moved forward with them.

Our story has a fantastic finish. He made it through the program and was deemed ready to come back to us. The therapists and nurses there were fantastic, in keeping us informed of his progress. We attended all the visitations, day passes, overnite passes and family sessions throughout the process. What we seen in return was a confused child going in but a changed young man coming out. He changed drastically in his thought process and his coping skills.

We could see the changes as he moved through the program. We can't say enough about the results for our family and owe this facility all the credit for helping us get back our young man, no longer confused about his place in our family.

I don't know enough of the names of the staff but EVERYONE involved at the facility showed us patience, compassion and caring for our child. At the first day we met with our intake person, the nurses who would care for him and later that week the assigned therapist(s). Everyone showed us understanding with this traumatic transition. They provided resources and responses for our questions.

These folks have such a hard job treating these lost kids. We have the upmost respect for everything they do. Give this place a try and follow their steps. I'm sure you will see the results.

I was able to get the best help I was able to get. Piney ridge helped me throughout the way. They have great staff and administration personnel that are there to truly help kids in the United States. I am forever grateful of Piney Ridge and I would highly recommend other states to look into sending kids to this program if need be.

If I could give negative stars I would... I sent my child there a few years ago. He was only there for one month. Wasn't aloud to see him other than when he was in therapy until I went for visitation. Once I arrived my son was heavily/over medicated, dirty clothes, not just dirty but he has an accident on himself during "school", he was filthy, had caught infantigo while being there that wasn't being treated, and also had sores on his chest, and upper back that looked like he had been burnt by cigarette (his dr even stated that was what they looked like). I pulled my son out of that place and he now has more PTSD than before going there

An awful place. They get rid of the staff who actually loved their job and helping the kid’s genuinely. They either make them so burnt out they quit and then are not allowed rehired and given a bad reference. Any job like this kind of facility would want to see all past employees successful in society as well. Unfortunately for piney ridge that’s NOT the goal. They’re a “wolf-Pack” that runs a Colt no one could ever imagine. A lot that have left here or been Fired all followed one another to the next local facility. It’s a SHAME.
