Phase Technologies deserves every ounce of this 1-star review for their stunning lack of professionalism and arrogance in responding to customer concerns. From dismissing valid grievances to patronizing customers, their tone is nothing short of appalling.

Their condescending reply to Brad is a prime example: instead of addressing his concerns with empathy or offering a solution, they mock his misunderstanding and deflect responsibility with technical jargon. Suggesting that customers should know they needed a different product after the fact reeks of negligence in their sales process. It’s not the customer’s job to anticipate what Phase Technologies failed to clarify before the sale.

Even worse is the smug comment about Brad’s history of 1-star reviews. Instead of reflecting on what they could improve, they weaponize a customer’s dissatisfaction against him. That level of dismissiveness speaks volumes about their priorities—spoiler alert: it’s not the customer.

And their reply to employee feedback? Equally tone-deaf. The audacity to publicly shame an ex-employee for allegedly “leaving at all hours of the day” is not only unprofessional but also suggests a toxic, micromanaging environment where trust in employees is nonexistent. Hiding behind a handbook doesn’t excuse the lack of respect shown here.

If this is how Phase Technologies handles customers and former employees alike, it’s a clear red flag for anyone considering doing business with them. Proceed with caution unless you enjoy being belittled and blamed for their shortcomings.

Great company to work with. Fantastic support! Ordered 2 converters. We arranged our own shipping to Lanai, Hawaii. Upon installation, I had a problem with one of the converters. Called their technical support department. Got a call back within a few minutes. They had me check a few things and then sent me replacement parts that same day. Overnight service. I received the parts in Honolulu the next day and replaced on Lanai the following day! Started up and running like a clock since. Response for sales and service has always been the day I call. Highly recommended. I will never buy another rotary phase converter again!

This is the worst company I've dealt with in years. Their website lists an optional on/off switch which is totally useless. I purchased a TE.015 phase converter and the optional switch. When I hooked up the machine the power was on even before turning the switch on. All it does is cut the output to the machines, but leaves the converter running and the meter running. I contacted their tech support and the guy I spoke with told me that was how it was designed and that he tells people not to buy it. He also told me that he'd brought up the inaccurate website description more than once and nothing has been done about it.

I contacted them about returning the switch (which is ~$160 for a $5 switch) and they told me I had to fill out an RMA form. I did that and then went round and round with a half dozen people about the restocking fee. I had asked for a return shipping label which they refused to supply.

I packaged up the switch and went to the post office and spent $5.90 to return the stupid switch. Three weeks later they say they never received the switch which I highly doubt. Unfortunately the USPS doesn't keep very good records and I don't have the receipt so they are refusing to refund my money. I've talked to probably 9-10 people there and left two messages which were never returned. Every time I have to explain everything all over again despite them logging all the calls.

The worst part of the whole ordeal is that I had to redo my wiring and now include a disconnect switch because of their crappy description. Working with 0 gauge wiring isn't easy and it was a major inconvenience that could easily be avoided if they had an accurate description on their website (an issue they're aware of and refuse to fix).

When I expressed my frustrations to one of their salesmen named Jeff Mizenko who claimed to be the sales manager I was told to "write down all my feelings in an email and he would forward them to the CEO". When I told him I thought that was unprofessional he hung up on me.

I will never do business with this company again and have contacted the Better Business Bureau. I've also contacted my credit card company to dispute this portion of the transaction.

UPDATE: I finally got a resolution to this and they refunded my money. I was going to remove my review until I read their response where again they fail to take any responsibility. Their condescending attitude about me not knowing how to wire the switch is typical of what I have experienced. Even when the switch is turned off the panel display says "Power On" and the hour meter continues to run. Since the description of the switch where I purchased it said nothing other than what I provided in the attached pictured a normal person would assume it would shut the unit off. Their own salespeople tell everyone not to buy it because it's pretty much worthless.

I installed one of their VFD drives for a constant pressure setup on a irrigation well.
60 hp, 375 gallons a minute system. It's been working flawlessly for 3 years now. Easy installation and much easier programming than I'm used to. Great American made product as far as I'm concerned. Will definitely be using them again in the future.

This company is horrible to deal with! They shipped our package overnight without authorization. We are losing $300 because of their incompetence. Very shady!

My sales manager had the appropriate shipping instructions on our purchase order. It is your company’s incompetent worker that had the issue. Complete idiots!!

This is an amazing company that cares about both its employees and customers. Every spring and fall they bring in customers for hands on training of their products. They take pride in what they build and it shows on their tours of the whole manufacturing facility. I would strongly recommend signing up for their Phase U trainings if you ever get a chance.
