Very fun airport to fly into. Free bikes for pilots to ride to the beach and harbor. I am not a very physical active person and I have to say the bike ride was not bad at all. Expect about a 20 to 30 minute bike ride. They do have noise procedures going in and out of the airport for the residential whiners (Karens) there. Gordon with the bikes was very helpful. To keep the free bikes available be sure to fill out the liability waver in the glass case next to the bike rack. I highly recommend the fish market at the harbor. I brought home some Bluefin Tuna sashimi to take home and it was AMAZING

Great place for visiting pilots! If you’re a pilot , I recommend reaching out to Gordo about the free use bikes for pilots. There’s a bike path you can take from the airport down to the harbor.

Planes that use this airport use incorrect landing path approaches that harass neighbors at extremely low altitudes. The airport says that they cant control pilots, it's the FAA's task. The FAA disagrees and says the airport mgmnt is responsible. The skydive outfit has corrected their behavior....on most days, much to the appreciation of neighbors, thank you guys. Love watching the skydiving. 🙂 . I guess there will always be rude, unprofessional pilots who lack skill. 🤔 hopefully, good pilots can influence , and help the rude unskilled pilots into better behavior. The airport SHOULD prohibit their use of the airport.

This is in response to MH review about the Oceanside Airport. MH says they live on a military base and are complaining about the noise from the airplanes from the near by airport.

First MH lives on a military base.

And you are not complaining about the noise from the artillery firing on base.

I live about 40 miles from that base, and I can hear the artillery fire from that base.

Small, municipal airport. Home of GoJump Oceanside (skydiving) as well as helecopter tours and biplane tours. The majority of the traffic comes from the skydiving operation and small private aircraft.

Absolutely awesome airport! Avgas and JetA available. Very nice people on staff and skydiving on site. Super fun airport with lots to do in the area.
