First impression is a cluster of old buildings . Various types of architecture thrown together in a hodge podge of disimilar construction.Nothing built since the 70's.
After locating the clinic,I barely got through the door when I was accosted by the receptionist. "Do you have an appointment?" Very demanding and rude. After assuring her I had insurance but did not want any uncovered work done; She gave me a 6 page pile of paperwork which states that the patient must pay any uncovered treatment. I told her I did not want any uncovered treatment. It was catch 22.
I felt good driving out.

Love the School. I'm a 2nd year ND student and as challenging as the curriculum is, I try to embrace every day! The administration listens to students and makes as many accommodations as they can to provide a positive learning experience and culture for the students. The location is great and the facility provides necessary resources to be a successful student. (I get it, it's impossible to make everyone happy, but majority of my colleagues seem just fine). The instructors are top notch, professional, and have high expectations as they should since they want to create great doctors. The students also receive good care at the school clinic as well as intern there as well. I recommend NUHS to anyone looking to become a pioneer in integrative medicine and want to provide non-toxic, less invasive, quality care at the same time promoting health and disease prevention! I realized that we make the culture what it is, so you can choose to look at everything that you don't like, or focus on all the good things and embrace the challenge! You make yourself who want to be in the end, so make the most of it and jump on as many opportunities as you can get! If I can do it, so can you!

I went to their tent during a tournament and got the best deep tissue massage and cupping treatment from Amanda Gabro. Highly recommend

I receive treatment at NUHS for adult scoliosis of the spine. They primarily offer chiropractic services, but they also offer accupuncture, massage therapy, physical therapy.

The pros:
1. Relatively inexpensive so I can receive frequent treatment without breaking the bank.
2. The interns will spend time treating you, as opposed to the cursory treatment I have received at other chiropractors that charge far more money.
3. You will be treated by many different interns with different techniques. I have learned different treatment methods for my malady. Over time, you will find that there are some interns with exceptional skills.
4. Scheduling is easy.
5. Insurance covers my treatment.

The cons:
1. You will be treated by many different interns with different techniques. There was only one intern that I didn't like, most were average, and only two I would grade as exceptional (One for massage therapy, the other for physical therapy). Unfortunately, they finish their internship and move on, so there is definitely a loss of continuity with treatment. This is especially difficult when you find someone that you really like.
2. Scheduling only available Monday-Thursday before noon.

I graduated from this facility in 1980 and things have changed very much. More diverse educations for more integrated health fields.

I'm sorry that the person above had a bad experience at the NUHS Clinic. When you get a haircut at the beauty college don't be surprised when the barber messes up your hair. Same in most fields of service. I'm sorry for the individual that had a poor time but experience increases with time and effort. These are students with at most few years of hands on clinical experience.

My experience with NUHS is positive in all ways. The institution has great faculty and students. They don't allow all who apply just like Princeton or any other good school. At the time I attended it was the first Chiropractic College that was accredited and Dr Joseph Janse was President. He and the faculty are on the same side as the students. They want to turn out the finest DC's by offering a heavy course load; because there is so much to learn in only 5 academic years.

Today it offers post graduate education, other degrees in different fields of study, Acupuncture, Naturopathy and more. If I were going to re-invent myself in midlife, I would do it at NAHS. It will prepare you to be a well trained and good Doctor in the field you choose.

I have a weekly appointment at the school for a massage. Even though they are students for the most part they do a good job. Can't beat the price $40 for an hour! I was able to get on a regular schedule with them which makes it very convenient.

STAY AWAY! This school is run by a bunch of criminals. They promise you everything and deliver nothing. Aside from the education being awful, the price is very high for what you get. They don't prepare you to be a good adjuster, and they try and make you become a primary care. This sounds good in theory, but when you get out into the real world, you can't compete. All of my colleauges who are killing it in chiro did not go to National, they went to real chiropractic schools. All of my colleagues who went to National, are struggling, most have found different careers entirely, and the ones that are doing "okay" are slaves for corporate chiropractic clinics - Aligned, The Joint, Chiro One, etc. AWFUL AWFUL school. Remember, you are going to go into upwards of $180-$200k worth of debt. This school doesn't prepare you for anything, and you'll be carrying around that debt. If you want to be a Chiropractor, I'd advise a different school. However my advice is don't do Chiropractic, become a Osteopathic physician or an MD, have the privileges to work in a hospital and make a nice pay check and open a private practice on the side...you'll make a killing and won't be screwed.

Stay as far away from this school as possible. I’m 5 years out after graduating and there isn’t a day I’m not reminded about how much I don’t know thanks to this horrible place. I have no clue how to adjust compared to other Chiro’s it’s embarrassing. Patients notice it as well. If you are at this school either transfer or take tons of adjusting seminars so you have some kind of chance to do well professionally bc NUHS definitely won’t teach you...
