My IT Journey So FarI’ve been in class for just three weeks now, and I already feel like I'm on the path to success in IT, thanks to two incredible individuals—my professor, Mike Brown, and my recruiter, Sheri.Professor Mike Brown: Mike is everything you could ask for in an instructor. He’s knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely cares about his students’ success. He makes complex concepts easy to understand and takes the time to ensure no one is left behind. His teaching style is both professional and engaging, keeping everyone focused and motivated. I can’t think of a better guide as I take these first steps into the IT world.Recruiter Sheri: Sheri has been an absolute gem from day one. She not only helped me get into the program but has also been a constant source of encouragement and support. Her dedication to helping students succeed is clear in everything she does. A waste of time, you have better options if you are serious about IT & Tech.

20+ years it the tech industry and the only job leads I got sent was entry level tech positions helping non tech users walk through basic repairs. They clearly either never actually read the resume they helped rewrite, or have no idea how the tech industry actually works or don't care.

An associate that was supposed to be helping me, told me that my experience "means nothing" and companies only care about certificates.

I joined the program with the thought it was going to give me more options, take my career to the next level, open me up to better positions.

Instead they expected me to abandon my prior work experience and start over from the bottom. Not at all what I was told when getting into the program.

As a recent graduate of the Cyber Defense program at the University of Central Florida (UCF), I was initially disappointed to discover that the certification I earned through the UCF Cybersecurity Bootcamp was not sufficient to secure a job in the IT/Cybersecurity field. My Husband & I both took classes here and the information was not up to date none of the things we were taught was on any of the practice test. Every time you try calling to reach out to them, they never answer and when you leave a voicemail, they never call you back.
