When I recently sought information about my great grandfather, a prominent St. Louis street builder from the early 20th century, and his architect brother, I received incredible assistance from Dennis Northcott, Associate Archivist. His creativity in researching source information and his timeliness were outstanding. Great personal service from a great institution.

I love coming here to do research and learn about the rich culture and historical events of St. Louis Missouri and surrounding areas. It is very enlightening to learn so much, especially to how things have changed over centuries. The staff is very friendly and patient, I also appreciate their efforts in grabbing materials and then reshelving them.

I went there today because I was informed that they had a book I needed for my present research. The book was there, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and I got what I was searching for. The only complaint I have is the parking. Not enough parking, but I guess since they are landlocked it cannot be helped. Other than this the place is excellent.

It was a very interesting time there researching the subject I had requested. The acoustic in the building is wild. At times I thought someone was next to me talking, but there were 20 feet away.
