We were referred to this office by my moms PCP, from the first phone call the staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. Took days just to schedule the first visit with so much back and forth on our part from the office to PCP office. Then to be met with attitude and the excuse that they had just got back from lunch and were unable to check their faxes for our referral form. Made us do all the footwork to get all necessary documents for our first appointment just to learn while in the room with the Doctor that they still did not have all necessary documentation for a treatment plan. The doctor was so dismissive and didn't even have the decency to look at my mom during the appointment due to a language barrier. Doctor then walked out of the room and completely disappeared. Once we went back to the front desk to verify what the next steps were, we were met with yet again the absolute worst patient care. Since they were close to closing they were quick to rush us out of the door without any lab orders that we needed and ensured us they would call when the orders were ready. That was 12/11/24, today is 12/23/24 and we STILL have not received a follow up from the office. Worst hospitality and care of the sick we have ever experienced. You're a cancer center, do better New Hop Cancer & Research Institute.

DO NOT GO TO ANY OF THESE NEW HOPE CANCER RESEARCH CENTERS. They have people coming over here from mexico that are not real doctors. The lady doctor is the only real doctor the others are not. They tried to get my sister that was on her last days to fly to mexico with out having Any medical records. They didn't want her records, they just wanted the money. They wanted $3000 and said they would put her in a hotel after they received the money. Then they would put her on a healthy diet. She passed a month later. If she would have passed in mexico it would cost $10,000 to get her body home. This place is a scam they don't have doctors. They just scam you for your up front cash payments. If you look at the name of this hospital on this page and others as well. You can see that it's photoshopped. BIG SCAM

My moms City of Hope Dr from Monrovia referred her here to New Hope Cancer and Research (Hope=what a joke) for a second opinion and I've been calling for days and the receptionist literally picks up the phone and places you immediately on hold. This happened for several days and several call attempts. I refuse to put my mother's health in the hands of a company and people like this that don't give a F about your loved ones.
If you care about your loved one, don't bother with this company in Pomona. Don't believe me. Look at all the one stars and see for yourself.

I've been to the office 3 times and I haven't seen the doctor yet. All they've seen send is pa. PA has no concerns or empathy towards your illness. Also, front office has very unprofessional unexperienced workers working for them. When calling you did you not identify themselves? Or tell you what they're calling about. They just ask you for information without explaining. Office does not forward information or paperwork to proper facilities. A timely manner. I do not recommend this office.

I’m writing this review on behalf of my mother, who gets treated worse than a stray animal here at this office.

Some backstory: My mom has been with this physician for 30+ years. She doesn’t want special treatment; she just would like some common courtesy, reasonable follow up time, and a degree of acknowledgment at the office with the PAs in regards to appointment details and arrangements, setting straight information for insurance providers, and other essential medical details.

To be treated so condescendingly on every occasion, and to have the PAs respond so dismissively - it ultimately (and this is sad to report) falls on the shoulders of the physician herself, Dr. Vandana Argawahl. She has been informed of Lupe and Priscilla’s recent actions, comments, and atrocious attitudes in the office, to which Dr. Argawahl replied, “I’ve heard of similar stories, and I’ve been meaning to do something about it.”

The PAs, Lupe and Priscilla, have no business working there. In fact, they have no business working in this field. They treat my mother like dirt, ignore her calls or in-person requests, lie about making phone calls to insurance providers, and send wrong diagnosis to requesting insurance providers on multiple occasions. I’ve even called and left two messages and they ignored them. At one point the head PA, Lupe, lied about the insurance provider (SCAN) not being reachable (she even said, “it was the wrong number”), but then my mom called SCAN right there in the lobby in front of Lupe to prove a point that they WERE in fact reachable and that it in fact WAS the right number, to which Lupe had no response or apology, and then just proceeded to get back on the phone to pretend like she was busy and that my mother was just a complete waste of her time.

I’m sick to my stomach hearing of these stories that my mom reports to me. My mom doesn’t complain much, yet here she is trying to reason with a couple of egotistical narcissists who think they have every right in the world to be dismissive and rude, while literally putting my mom’s health (and others’ health after reason these other reviews) in constant danger with their lack of concern, compassion, and basic professionalism in this field.

Shame on the both of you! You’ve left me with NO choice but to report you specifically to the Physician's Assistant Board of Medicine, to which myself and my mother will follow up this week with yesterday’s incident - as well as other documented incidents in the recent past. It’s quite unfortunate that it has come to this, when my mother and myself were making attempts to reason with forthright communication (which Lupe and Priscilla simply ignored).

Took my Dad for his first appointment. Crystal at the front desk was fantastic. We saw one of the nurse practitioners, Shekina (spelling?). She was very thorough and took appropriate action to further my Dad's care.

Very disappointed! Since we’ve entered into quarantine and with their changes in staff everything is out of control. Last treatment I received was in May 2020 and was told to get lab work on a monthly basis. I had called for my results but was given a call appointment in which the staff never entered it onto their schedule book. I was given the run around. I complained to Dr. Vandana Agrawal but she didn’t take my compliment seriously. This time, I’ve called Friday to check status of my results, only requesting to know if I needed to schedule for treatment and the staff said to call back on Tuesday. The doctor didn’t bother to call since I didn’t call. I called today and staff said that I now need to sign a release form for the doctor to call me for consultation. I already had signed it, otherwise, I wouldn’t have spoken to the doctor on the previous appointment. The staff said that there was no signed form in my file. (BS) I asked her if the doctor doesn’t check for lab work results and follow up with patients or tells her staff to contact the patient’s with appointments or plainly tell the patient that no appointment is necessary. I definitely need to go to another doctor, otherwise, this doctor is going to seriously leave me unattended and eventually die.

The doctor was extremely rude and lacked patience to her patients. It was quite a shock to see her act in such an unprofessional way. I sincerely hope it is not the case to all of her patients but judging from the reviews, we are not the only ones. If you can request another place in your insurance. Do not come to this place with such an unprofessional doctor. What a shame that doctors can behave in such way in a place that is called new hope.
