Update: The school just responded over a year later telling me to take down my review as well as all of the other ONE star reviews (as of now it’s all one star reviews and one 5 star). NOT OKAY.

I attended this school for parts of my high school career. The campus is beautiful. EXTREMELY inappropriate behavior by teachers towards students! There was a teacher who would constantly hit on me... which now as an adult I see how unacceptable his behavior was. I also had a horrible English teacher named Mr. Titherly- I’m still not over how unfair he was towards myself and others. That’s not even the worst of it - I could go on and on. I once had a teacher spray my face with Lysol and it caused me to have to go to the hospital for an asthma attack. Yes I have proof of all of this since the school asked me to take down my review. I refuse.

Fair Warning to going to the AAE. I am high school student at this school. By the way this school AAE is broke and owns millions of dollars. Another warning you should consider is going to 10th grade at the AAE. You will wish to get out during your 10th grade year. Words can't describe my 10th grade experience especially with my science teacher. She is beyond terrible .Her name is Mrs. Johnston she is by far the worst teacher I have ever had. She is very disorganized and she doesn't teach at all. All she's ever good at is sitting back behind her desk and not grading papers on time. Causing tons of students to have anxiety about their grade in her class and causing them to fail. Therefore repeating the 10th grade or having summer school. Being in her class was beyond a living nightmare. I have been been told about Mrs . Johnston since my freshmen year by my junior and senior friends. I remember them warning me that 10th grade is the worst year ever. At first I did not believe them . By then in my 10th grade year I knew it was no joke. I also remember being in her class she would make other classmates help others like myself with the material because often times I was confused. I tried asking her help once about a problem that we were doing in class. And she said I'm sorry I don't know the answer go ask help from a classmate. This teacher should not be teaching here at the AAE. But what can I say this school is broke they already laid off good support staff like assistants such as Mrs. Tabush , and a very good math teacher named Mr. Mickbride Overall I am looking forward to this year as my last year at the lewis center. I am not graduating from this school. Other bad examples to avoid and watch out for is a teacher named Gretchen Seacrest . She is a middle school math teacher who is now a part of the elementary side. I'm glad she's there because to be honest that's where she belongs. She has said before she does not have a math degree but yet she still teaches math ! The only math she knows is elementary math . And all the time when she teaches she gets off topic and talks about her personal life. Also she is very confusing and often times forgets what she's talking about in class during the lesson. I even remember she gave me the wrong formula to use on a test many times when I had her. In conclusion of all the horrible truths I have told you. Helpfully you have concluded that this school is not a real school. To be honest if feels like prison for me everyday and other kids as well. But if you dare to step foot on this campus be warned because going here is my biggest regret.

It’s just as easy to give a 5 star review. Never been here wish I did go here. One star reviews about their experiences are probably from students that got a bad grade due to their laziness.
