The way this company does business is absolutely terrible. The best official tournament store in the state of Ohio (Refined Gaming) just had its ots status revoked, and konami refused to even give a reason why. Revoking ots status for no reason, banning players for no reason, short printing product, ridiculous tournament restriction policies, extremely poor customer service, lack of quality control, and complete lack of care for its customers make this company an absolute joke. Do not do business with them. They will probably ban me from tournament play just for leaving this review.

worst quality control ever for their TCG products, the yugioh cards' quality is very bad, the package is also retardedly small so its hard for people to open multiple packs at once, packaging is also the worst. The quality control for yugioh cards are super bad, inconsistent pull rates is very normal for the yugioh products

Bandai, Ravensburger, Wizard and FAB all have much better quality control over their TCG products

Took away Refined Gaming’s OTS status for no reason despite it being one of the best card shops you could go to and was started from almost nothing. It’s unfortunate that not only is the card game ruined but it pulled its support for one of the fastest growing card shops in the Ohio community. That’s just stupid.

The way this company does business is terrible. With no reasoning, took away OTS status from my friend's hometown local card shop. This is something I know is very important to him and for to ban the shop with no explanation is unacceptable. Do better.

This company stripped Refined Gaming of OTS status and won't tell why. The shop always did things by the books and helped the yugioh community grow in the NW Ohio area. Really sad to see this happen, especially without given reason.

I have been trying to resolve an issue with Konami North America since August 2022 regarding Yu-Gi-Oh! foil card quality and to this day a satisfactory solution has not been reached. The North American customer service team took months to get a hold of despite them stating their response time to inquires is 1-2 business days. They are close to unreachable via email, social media, and online chat. It appears no one is actively managing or responding to customer concerns from these channels. I have numerous email confirmations of tickets opened via email and online chat with no response from the company. After months of no success, I reached out via phone and was able to speak with a customer service representative. After a number of calls over the span of a few months, it took the mention of potentially escalating the matter to a supervisor to see some progress. I provided photos of defective cards, proof of purchase, card codes/identifiers, and everything else they requested on multiple occasions in the time since August 2022. There was a point where they stated they could not find the photos I emailed to them, though after some time, they were able to find them. They offered to replace the defective cards which was promising; however, as of March 2023, replacements for 10% of the cards were received. I emailed them in late April 2023 to follow-up and have not heard a response to-date. This is an unfortunate situation for a company as large as Konami and will very much impact my decision to purchase foil Yu-Gi-Oh! cards in the future. I hope to hear from them to turn this negative experience into a positive one.

The draconian decision making in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG by KDE harms not only shop owners, but the communities that they foster. Refined Gaming LLC of Toledo, Ohio--one of the largest, most welcoming game stores in the Midwest--was recently revoked of its OTS status without so much as a warning or explanation. Of all of the LGS' I have personally been to, none have been as adherant to OTS protocol, nor as professional. Konami needs to recognize that they made a mistake in dropping Refined Gaming LLC, as they have consistantly remained the most successful LGS in the region on top of expanding the love of the game to dozens of new players.
