We have been searching for a diagnosis and help for our daughter for 3 years. What she has is extremely rare, and there are not very many surgeons that can or will do the surgery to help. We saw one other surgeon before Dr. Greenfield, and were very worried that he would be our only hope. But our prayers were answered and we were able to get in to see Dr. Greenfield. He was so kind and sincere and made her feel heard. He not only gave her hope that he could help her, but on 2/27, he and his partner performed a life changing surgery on her. She is finally on the road to living a new life, a new normal….a life she has been anxiously waiting to live. Forever grateful to him!!

Dr Greenfield is an AMAZING Nuerosurgeon. We travelled from Wisconsin to see him. Dr G took the time to discuss our options. He is very professional, showed genuine concern for my son and has great bedside manner. His team is just as amazing too! He has preform surgery on our oldest daughter who recovered by the grace of Jesus Christ by using Dr. Greenfield.
We traveled from Savannah Ga to this man because he listened to us and did not dismiss us like all the other "Doctors " in and around the Savannah Ga area.
When he speaks to you, it's to you, not at you.
Dr. Greenfield is a great Surgeon but also a great person in general.

Dr Greenfield and his team are the absolute best around. I’ve lived my whole life with terrible headaches and pain, and never had anyone take it seriously. From my first meeting with Dr Greenfield and his NP Alexa I knew it was different. They listened, they validated & they CARED. I had been diagnosed with Chiari Malformation 1.5 and that’s what brought me to Dr Greenfield. None of my local doctors would operate. They said it didn’t seem “that bad,” Dr Greenfield listened when i said it really was. I’m now a week post op from a sub occipital craniectomy, and cervical laminectomy (chiari decompression) and i will tell anyone right now that i have never felt this good in my entire life. my muscles are a bit sore yes, but it’s a whole new world. i have none of my old symptoms (they did make sure to tell me to gauge my expectations, as i won’t hit my “new normal,” for about 3 months. they are honest with you about the possibilities and outcomes from the beginning.) i didn’t know life like this was possible until Dr Greenfield. If you’re considering a trip or a consultation- do it. it is the best decision i have ever made.

Dr. Greenfield was everything I hoped he would be. He’s humble, kind, honest and very intelligent. I had a complex case and was suffering when I came to him. He wasn’t intimidated by my case, he laid out a clear plan of action and then executed it. I had intercranial pressure instability as well as a tethered cord. I also have a very thin dura. He addressed all my issues and I had two successful surgeries with him. I’m 3 months post op and my body is recovering. I feel better than I have in years. He has given me my quality of life back and I will forever be grateful.

Dr. Greenfield gave me my life back after Chiari Malformation 1.5 left me debilitated. Dr. Greenfield is not only one of the top neurosurgeons who specializes in this condition, he is an extraordinary human being. He is compassionate, calm, knowledgable and selfless. He called me on his personal time, listened to my case intently and got me in quickly! The team at Weill Cornell surpassed any expectation I could have had! They know this surgery inside out and backwards. My recovery was smooth and painless. I have two children recently diagnosed with Chiari Malformations that will be evaluated by Dr. Greenfield next. It is hard to summarize into a single review just how amazing Dr. Greenfield is. As an out of country patient, he put both my parents and I at ease throughout the entire process, not only through his expertise, talent and kindness, but by never rushing us and our questions, and by making us feel like we were always a priority. It is no exaggeration to say that Dr. Greenfield and his team changed my life. I am one year post op from a revision Chiari malformation decompression surgery and I have never felt better. Doctors in Canada told me I had to live with my pain and symptoms and Dr. Greenfield completely relieved all of it for me. His talent, expertise and bedside manner are nothing short of impressive and incredible. He is hands down the best Neurosurgeon and I am forever grateful for him and his team - especially Amanda Cruz (the best PA!).
