Bought my wife a birthday present here. A nice selection of jewelry. I was overwhelmed because jewelry shopping is something I don't do often. Hayley did an amazing job informing me on different products and made recommendations for earrings based on the necklace I selected. Excellent service Hayley, give that girl a raise!

There was a time you could get nice looking clothes in there. I don't know who the buyers are for this store but there is nothing in there for the young or middle aged people. You have to be about 70 years old to appreciate what they trying to sell.

I went to the cologne counter to purchase items for our Angel Child we bought Christmas for at work. I had to get all of what he asked for ( we each had items) I was on a super tight budget. I had 170.00 bucks. I managed to get all of what he asked for ! Yes I could have bought him cheap stuff and got way more, but I got him all name brand..a pair of jeans, a smart watch, a hoodie,and this young man Jacob was the best ! I wanted to buy the Messy Cologne kit but I couldn't afford it so Jacob found me the closest thing to it and it was also a name brand fragrance. Yea .I could have bought the Ax ...but no. He got the good stuff and Jacob even told me how this product should be worn. No more than one spray, we laughed and I apologized a lot because he had to ring me up and remove items and so forth..together we made Christmas happen for that child. I may never meet him but is gonna be dressed at least one day a week and he is gonna smell great ! Thank you Jacob for all of your help. I was late posting but I didn't forget you.

Spent more time waiting to find out the price of a sale item ..that did not have a ticket. Had pics of sale table..and for some reason I guess I was not believed . Have spent money there more often but not again. Was there to buy gifts for 10 teens since their was a sale.

The Cashier at checkout was pleasant.

Of you check the sales table the top says buy one get one free. At the bottom it says 60- 70 percent off.

I also asked if they honor prices like Walmart since not making sure or not knowing price was not my fault... I guess not ..

1-star. Too much CONFUSION!!!

Please stop going to JCPenney for Black Friday. I just seen the manger put those coupons that are mark to the back of the stack in our face. Didn't know one get the 500$ coupon I was there at 5 and 9. They save those coupons for family and friends. False advertisement. Don't believe me go and see for your selves. JCPenney y'all are wrong to let these happen to y'all faithful customers.

The associate working the register by the teen's fitting room was incredibly rude. She treated me like I was such a burden to her. I went out of my way to engage her in conversation during my checkout process, to which she actually sneered at me. I was absolutely shocked by this.
I shopped for quite a while before I was ready to checkout, during which I encountered this particular associate who seemed to be in a foul mood. I asked her how her day was and tried to make small talk, reminding myself that we never know what is happening in someone's private, unseen life. Having been a nurse for so many years, I know life isn't always what it seems to be and when strangers treat me poorly, I try not to internalize it and remind myself that it isn't about me.

I finally managed to find one pair of jeans. It seems they were the one thing in the entire store that wasn't on sale, as I was told when I walked in that "everything is on sale today." At least the ladies that told me that when I entered (on the opposite end of the store) spoke to me, with that sentence being their greeting, and it at least was cordial, even if incorrect.

Sadly, I won't be returning to this Penney's location. If I want anything from JC Penney, I will purchase it online. Apparently, I am not the only person who has received the same treatment from this location. Perhaps this is the cause for this location in Quintard Mall being on life support? It's very sad because I try to support local businesses whenever I can, especially struggling businesses, because I never want to see an anchor store in an already dying mall fail. Dillard's is really the only store that appears to be thriving and is the only store I frequent at this mall. This was the first and the last time I stepped foot inside Penneys. I am still fairly new to the area. It's obvious this location is struggling, and I was trying to do my part to help, but I will return to Dillard's and won't stray again.
