Horrible company to deal with, They closed my account accidentally on there end and then said I had to go all weekend because billing wasnt open. I spoke with someone 2 hrs prior and they assured me they would fix the internet. I make a living with my internet service. Terrible service.

Have had holsten connect since was first available in my area. Ive had constant connection drops ever since install and had complained to them a dozen times and they have came out to inspect and never find anything wrong. I use thier router and they eventually switched out everything to access points and homepass. The problems got much worse and outages became more frequent. Had them come out again to inspect this past February since they installed the main fiberoptic wire through my access panel of the underpinning of my home so anytime i had to get underneath my house i would have to remove my access panel and pivit it on the main fiberwire which has damaged the wire and caused bare copper to be exsposed since they ran the main cable through my siding access panel.....then they told me again they cant find anything wrong and recommended I use an aftermarket router to fix the issue.... The next bill cycle I noticed they charged me for the visit and I called them and talk to them for an hour and 18 minutes and i asked why I was charged since they cant find the problem and i pay for their router and I wanted my money back and they said they would contact me and never did. Next bill cycle i wasnt credited money back so I called again and was giving the run around again and still having internet droppages constantly and asked them to give my money back again to which I was told they would have someone contact me and never did. Next bill cycle I called to complain again that my issue hasn't been fixed nor my money returned and they said it had been too long ago to issue a refund and I told them I had tried twice before and no one was doing anything and never contacted me for ANYTHING. so I once again left my name ,address and phone number for a manager to call me back and it's been almost 2 months since and never heard ANYTHING...WOW WHAT AN AWESOME COMPANY TO TELL THIER CUSTOMERS TO BUY ANOTHER ROUTER SINCE THIERS ISNT WORKING AND TO CHARGE ME FOR A PROBLEMTHEY DONT WANT TO FIX!!!

Customer service is miserable. The get one star because I can’t grade them any lower.
I have been trying to get service connected for over a month. Their technicians don’t show up, their phone system is annoyingly inefficient, and their customer service agents don’t understand anything outside their script - they may as well be from India.
Not worth the aggravation just to get their service.. I can’t imagine how bad customer service will be once they HAVE my money.

Best price and service I have found!! I kept getting higher bills with spectrum and was not honored to receive lower charges after over 20 years of commitment. Now it's faster and more reliable.

Worst provider in my area. I recently bought a home and stayed on their waiting list for internet for 2 weeks. Just 1 day before they were suppose to come out and set it up, they called to cancel and said they will call back to reschedule. Later the next week I find them working outside my home having no call back, and they went up my neighbors driveway! I had thought my neighbor called a tree service but was very saddened to find out they had been cutting trees on my property line for almost an hour to gain clearance. I even took my dog outside to potty and these guys didn’t speak to me. I had to go up to them and intervene! I did not choose to have services provided by them! Spectrum internet had me set up and running with cheaper internet the very next day after Holston cancellation. Save your money and go else where, ANY WHERE, if you can. Beyond poor communication if you choose this company!

Used to be the best and still is in terms of speeds near me. The down sides of this ISP is the high ping and packet loss when playing video games. IDK what to do except call them and hope they fix....

High Packet Loss issue seems to be a past issue unless some of their servers are getting routed through slow areas during maintenance. That is very rare though.

Read the small print. No contract BUT if you disconnect within 1 year You have to pay for the equipment that you return. That's a contract in my opinion. $156. A month (tv only). Constantly goes out, recordings disappear. If your recording a show every week (Survivor) it stops recording. Customer Service is bad. It claims its non profit.... people signed to get internet in route areas. My understanding is the government helped them, 1 Gib infinity 79.95 + 10.95 home wifi. And of course add taxes on that bill. Sounds to me Someone's making extra money on the poorer areas. I've stopped 3 people from getting this service by telling them the cost & my experience. I hope this review will stop others from making the same mistake I did one year ago. Oh they also charged us $15 a month because of the internet to run the tv. They did not tell us that, We found it on the bill. I don't post many reviews less than 5 total, I hope this review will stop others from making the same mistake as I did. Holston Connect is like the rest of the big companies (direct, at&t etc.) Except it goes constantly. I guess nonprofits don't include pay rates or raises.....
