Once the design was completed I moved to the next step of the build and met with my project manager. My build is now underway and I’m so pleased with how it’s progressing.

Pros:
The homes are beautiful and there are so many selections in which they will go through all that with you. The design meeting is fun and they were very helpful.

The sales team are pretty responsive and helpful. We had no problems and no pressure.

We have only had one meeting with the construction manager, but he was very helpful and answered most questions.

Cons:

Some of their design packages are very "cable tv-esque" where in order to get 1 or 2 things, you HAVE to get a whole package of stuff you may not way for a bit of extra cash. For example, the upgraded lighting package, we went ahead and got just for a floodlight in the back and a floor outlet. Doesn't even come with under cabinet lighting, which is even MORE money on top of the upgraded lighting package.

In short, so far, the experience has been mostly (95%) positive with just a few nit pick issues. The people we have dealt with have been fantastic even when we were just in the scouting phase. Scott, in sales, put up with tons of stupid questions from me even before we were prospects and was pretty prompt in his responses. There are tons of customization options both in the exterior and interior in which Anna and Cindy were awesome at laying it out and helping us design with their well prepared design meeting (which was actually pretty fun, to be honest). Jake, the Construction Manager (I think), was also very helpful in laying out the construction phase for us and was able to answer nearly all the questions we had for him at this phase. The reason this is tentative 5* is only because I will put the possibly updated score based on the finished project.

I love my Greentech home! I chose a custom build on a wooded lot and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Scott Thompson guided me through the initial process and was welcoming, eager to assist, and provided all necessary information for me to make informed decisions. He was also happy to answer questions at any time throughout the build. Tara McNabb was so knowledgeable and helpful in the design phase and provided quick feedback at any time throughout the build. My build project manager Wesley Swift was very thorough, knowledgeable, professional, and kind and provided weekly updates along with weekly build photos. He ensured my home was completed on time with high quality. The neighborhood is a perfect fit for me and my family. We love the green spaces, dog park, community feel, beautiful architecture of the homes, the convenience of the neighborhood, and our great neighbors. My home is beautifully built with high quality materials. Thank you to Greentech for creating such a wonderful place to call home!

I've looked at Greentech reviews, as part of our due diligence, a considerable number prior to choosing Greentech. We found that the, very much, greater number of satisfied customers have been more than happy with their customer interaction and final result. We decided to go with them and chose a plan that fit our search and needs perfectly.
Working initially with Kate J to work on choosing the right lot and transitioning into the build process, we felt we were safely moving though the process with every question we had answered in order to need feel rushed in the least.
This was not my first build, however for my wife, this was a first so she was let loose on the design. We felt good in the cooperative work with Lindsay C and actually enjoyed the time spent working on the design as the plan came together. Lindsay helped us to imagine how our choices would work and used her previous experience to provide options (as opposed to critic) on alternatives that may look better.
Our close date came in 2 months ahead of schedule and while this could be a negative for some individuals it just was weather on our side... Not a rush job. We did use an independent inspector for our upcoming walk thru and most items were listed already on the builders list for pre close work. Job Project Manager Sean B was always updating at least once a week on the job to include the weekly photos to follow when we couldn't be on site.
We wholeheartedly are above satisfaction level on the new home purchase and build process. Thanks Greentech for showing that a local company can achieve great things with quality and “above and beyond” customer service.

Walk around the neighborhood of Heritage Walk and ask the neighbors how their experience has been with Green Tech. Maybe 1 out of 10 will be happy. It's the same story - no one answers your calls, texts, emails. And the time you reach someone, you are so angry that they tell you not to call them directly anymore. I have 6 windows that don't match the rest of the windows in my house and doubt that I will ever get matching windows. The punch list won't be done in 30 days. Consider that you are really loaning money to GreenTech at closing and you are not getting everything that you paid for. I just got an email from the warranty folks and they will not cover my 6 different windows. Run away!

Well it's been months since I posted my review, so I'm editing this one.. my pipes froze, my brand new roof leaked again and water came through the side door to my garage. It's been great to ignore my paying job and spend my life on the phone trying to manage getting my home fixed. I guess others say they have been on the list for 3 years.

Please be aware that at least 6 of the five star reviews were posted by Greentech employees.

I am currently building a new GreenTech home, but I cannot recommend building with GreenTech. If you want a Greentech home, I would suggest purchasing a completed spec home and only after having the home inspected by a home inspector. I would also strongly recommend having a buyer‘s realtor to advocate for you.

At three months into the building process, we had multiple issues come up with the floor plan and the resolution to these issues has meant that the house we’re getting isn’t the house we thought we were purchasing.

When it comes to GreenTech houses, if you & your home inspector can’t walk through the house, don’t buy the house.

Update:
Due to Greentech’s poor planning and a litany of construction errors, we have already missed our first 2 closing dates.

Update:
After missing our first 4 closing dates (April 5th, May 17th, May 31st, & June 7th), we finally closed the second week of June.
We moved in on 6/30/19 and these are a few photos of the finish quality issues we have found so far.

Update: 8/16/19
We’ve been on the house for 6 weeks now. Our mail still isn’t being delivered to the subdivision, because Greentech failed to install the centralized mailboxes for the subdivision. We are also waiting for all the needed warranty work to start to correct the amateur tile and trim work installed in our home.

Overall really great experience! From the purchasing process with Kate to the design meeting with Lindsey everything went very well. They both were very kind and helpful and answered all of our questions. Hunter, our project manager made the building process a breeze. He updated us every step of the way. We never had any delays during building and everything when so smooth. I highly recommend this company if you are looking to build a home!
