Transfered my children from very good schools to this one after buying a house on this side of town. The teachers expect too much from new students. My son was in a behaviorally contained classroom and doing amazing with reading.Now because the school doesn't offer a specially contained classrom he is behind after one year at this lousy school. The head lice problem is out of control, the school said my son does't need special services anymore and refused to recommend a special class.If he is doing so well why do I still get called everyday? After the first quarter at last school in contained class I never not once receieved calls anymore. My daughter can no longer keep up with the fast paced learning in her 2nd grade class. I have had it with this school. I am gathering information from neighboring schools to make a decision after 1 year to transfer them to decent education.My son previously attended Longview absolutly hands down the best school, and my daughter attended Encanto. This Glenn L. Downs is just terrible. I hope the confusing fast paced education plan this past year didn't confuse the crap out of my kids to where they struggle next year. But like I said moving them to new school.If you have a daughter you can expect lice the schol is crawling with this.

not to be mean or anything but i was a student at this school and i learned almost nothing at first i thought it was because of poor funding but then they did upgrades, and money was not a problem maybe it was all the teachers i had but tbh i like the school kids there were mean and funny and weird but at least I got the fun experience t is...ok i guess

I miss that school they had excellent teachers and staff sure ther wer bullies but they taught us how to stand up to them and get along truth be told im still friends with a bully I met ther and he learned his lesson 🙂
