Scam Job. Awful people. They mail your bill late and then expect you to pay the late fee for their either incompetence or intentional scam. Then when you go talk to them about it they lie and say it's the postal services fault that your bill arrived 5 days after the due date. "We mail them on the 24th"... Complete Bull. "they go to STL to get sorted"... Also Bull. Assessor office had my assessment list to us the next day after I called for it. USPS isn't that slow.

Not to mention when I called them about clearing the tree limbs that are currently laying on my power line, they said they'd send someone out to check on it and never did.

And when we had the coldest day of the year their system just failed and we had no power for 2 days during single digit temps.

I actually find that Debbie and Lisa are quite pleasant to work with! They have always helped me out and I have always dealt with them for the past four years coming from someone who struggle to pay her bill! It’s the aspect behind there job that makes it hard! The price for electricity for this city is down right outrageous and makes it very hard to live peacefully here!

Electric has been off almost 24 hours and we can not seem to get ahold of anyone to report the outage. No one is answering the phone and the website is conveniently down for "scheduled" maintenance. I have animals and an elderly person in my home and we have more problems with city light and water than any electric company I've ever had, combined. This is unacceptable.

This company is a complete scam. The ladies that work there do nothing but LIE. When we moved to Fredericktown we had to pay a 380$ deposit so naturally we paid it. After paying our electric bill every single
month for 4 years we called because we were moving. They insisted we pay our final bill which like every other month we did including the $25 late fee since your bill comes less than a week before it's due. This was August of 23. We have asked for our deposit every month since then. The liars, I mean the ladies that answer the phone there have a new story each time. The worst was in early Dec when we called because we could have really used it for Christmas for our kids. She assured us this time she would really send us our deposit money that we paid them in 2019. That December phone call was the worst let down so today we called again January 17th of 24 the same lady who has LIED throughout the last 6 months lied again and said they were mailed on Thursday January 11th. LOL thats a laugh because its the 17th we now live in Festus where it takes 2 days to get a letter from them.... Don't trust this company they already are the most expensive utility company in the midwest and will cut your power if you are a week late no matter the circumstances. Will update if this ever changes!! Dont pay your last electric bill because you will NOT get your almost 400$ deposit back.
