I normally love coming here , I have an 8 month old so I got shopping normally 2-4 times a week and today was just a horrible experience and I have never felt the need to stand up for a cashier like I do now. Poor Rebecca was obviously in training , my 8 month old was starting to get fussy so she was in my arms and didn’t want to be put down , Tanya the manager (awful service) sat at the bagging area NOT HELPING put my bags in the cart as I’m holding my child trying to pay, but instead being rude to and criticizing Rebecca telling her she shouldn’t need to watch her training videos ( also inappropriate to say infront of a customer ) and she should apparently just know what to do. Tanya herself apparently doesn’t even know what she should be doing, so it doesn’t seem fit that she should be telling others what to do. Tanya then went on to tell me and Rebecca that she is so tired and wishes she could take a nap like my 8 month old was wanting to do , I just have never been so baffled by someone’s awful service LET ALONE it being a manager I was shaking asking Rebecca for a pen to write down her and Tanya’s names , I hope all the best for Rebecca it seems like Tanya needs to take some pointers from her instead of ridicule her. And maybe stop being lazy and help with peoples bags , go get a desk job.

When you buy the larger size of an item, the price per weight cost goes up, not down when buying larger packages. Example chicken noodle soup. 10.75oz can is $1.49 per pound, the larger 22.4 oz can is priced at $1.92 per pound.

The Food Lion branded stores in my opinion are always clean cut.
Floors are always spotless, deli/ bakery is organized well.
The meat department always have a nice selection of marked down meats for quick sale.
The shelves are well stocked and neat.
I visited this particular store, due to my normal one being out of stock of my son formula.
This is a handicapped accessible store, with in store riding carts and multiple handicapped parking spaces. I went early morning, and the store had very few people. I was able to get in an out fairly fast. I will visit again.

I go to this location, on average, 2-4 times a month. I've been a food lion shopper since I was a kid with my folks. I would still rather do my shopping here than a Walmart or Kroger. The cashiers are always really nice. The 4 star instead of 5 review is due to lack of teamwork, especially from managers. I was there this weekend and saw a pretty typical scene. The lines get busy, and no one wants to help. It's one thing for an associate to yell out "I can't help yall cause I got 2 more pallets to unload before my smoke break", but the managers here must be allergic to bagging for the cashiers during a rush. One manager, a curly headed guy with glasses, literally walked around with zero urgency, doing what looked like nothing, while the cashiers were all hustling the best they could. This seems to be standard for managers at this location. As a customer, you just feel bad for the front-line staff when they get zero support. You also feel like a burden when even a manager won't chip in to help.
