I love that STL has a Flower Child. We have 2 of them in Scottsdale, but I didn’t frequent them in AZ. It has the same bright and airy aesthetic, and employees have been helpful and pleasant.

Favorites:

Ginger Miso Crunch Salad -
(vegan and gf). I add avocado. It’s the perfect light and healthy meal for those of us on a clean-eating cleanse.

Vegetarian Plate -
You can choose 3 sides for this entree. I always choose the Cauliflower Risotto (omitting the breadcrumbs to make it gluten free) and the Yuzu Brussels Sprouts. Both dishes are phenomenal.

The third option varies. Sometimes I’ll add the Red Chili Glazed Sweet Potatoes. They are good, but not like “gotta have it” good.

Other times I’ll opt for the Roasted Broccoli (omitting the parmesan to make it vegan; omit breadcrumbs to make it gf as well). I do love the roasted broccoli.

The Kung Pao Cauliflower was just ok, in my opinion.

I do want to try more of their salad offerings and some of the bowls. My problem is that I’m so happy with what I typically order than I am hesitant to try the other things.

Be sure to get their app so that you can earn rewards and money off future orders.

They are located within the Plaza Frontenac parking lot, adjacent from Saks.

If you’re looking for a restaurant that leaves you feeling good after the meal, this is it! They offer a variety of snacks, entrees & desserts full of fresh & healthy ingredients. We tried the classic hummus appetizer, Turkey and Avocado Cobb salad, “Forbidden” Rice with salmon, and chocolate pudding. Really don’t have any complaints, but will suggest to get extra pita (we had hummus left with no pita) and if you want a more filling salad add extra protein. Before we went, I read several comments that portion size was small, but we thoughts our entrees were decently sized for a single meal—no leftovers (just not Biggie sized like a lot of American restaurants these days). Overall, we enjoyed our lunch and will definitely be back to try other menu items.

This is the ONLY place in STL that actually feels like LA on the inside. The atmosphere is fantastic and brightens your mood. A great place to work remotely if you have the midday blues.

As for the food, the sides are absolutely delicious and full of flavor, however they go cold almost as soon as you receive it. So eating slow and enjoying your meal becomes quite a hassle. The steak is yummy but the cook on it is not consistent. The pinker pieces definitely have more flavor, unfortunately much of the steak I have received over the past couple orders have been over cooked and a bit dry. The miso crunch salad is very similar to the Health Nut Chicken Asian Salad (The famous Kardashian Salad) except for two distinct differences. The “crunch” is non-existent as there are not any won tons or rice strips. The salad could really use some sort of makeshift crouton to achieve this instead of relying on cabbage. The dressing is also more on the bitter side and doesn’t have the bright flare you’d come to expect from an Asian salad, making it fall short. A little sweetness and citrus added to the dressing would fix this. As for the drinks, same problem with sweetness. The lemonade is too sour and without the sweetness in their mango sencha green tea, it’s no different than making a mostly tasteless tea for yourself at home. Would love to see Flower Child tweak their recipes just a bit to add sweetness and brightness and this establishment would be 5/5 stars.

What a great new healthy restaurant! Our food was very good and the ambiance is lovely. You order at a counter and then they bring the food out to you. Our only suggestion is to improve the drink offerings. I brought a child and a teen and paid for lemonades for them, which they did not like (they were quite sour). They wanted to switch to a different drink, but the only other option was tea that they did not like either. A more natural soda or juice would be nice.

🥀 front of the house unprofessional.
🥀 Outside seating only because the dining room was too full. (Surely, a table will open up? No?)
🥀No heaters on patio.
🥀 can we at least sit in the sun? No, you’re in the shade.
Went next door and had a much better, more professional lunch. Also, noticed other patrons from Flower Child opted to leave.
🌹 Loved their water cooler just inside the door.

I really enjoyed eating here. it’s different from a lot of the restaurants that are in the St. Louis area. The only complaint that I would have is the chicken was a bit dry. They also let me substitute the mushrooms for something else that I like.

The food is amazing and the staff is super friendly. I've dined in and ordered online several times--I also recommend my clients here, regularly!
Unfortunately, there is a disconnect in the kitchen. I ordered online and noted Mushroom Allergy, AND customized my dish to remove the mushrooms. It's noted on my ticket and on the to-go lid...and STILL mushrooms in my dish. Luckily, I have medicine on hand. Allergies should be taken way more seriously!!
