Great overall experience, great staff. If you bring a bag of cheerios you WILL start a feeding frenzy at the dock! Really nice indoor enclosures. P.S. Look for the little blue jay with one eye at the bird pen. ( He’s very friendly)

Very peaceful, love to see the animals. My kids loved it. We live very close by however this was our first time visiting two days in a row. Wonderful job the people who work here love what they do. Everyone should promote and support places like this to preserve the animals and to educate our new generations to appreciate and do their part to preserve nature. This place should be supported by the Mobile County public school system. Visit and tell others about this place, please. Do not litter. preserve our water resources, help turtles cross the road., plant a pollinators garden. God Bless you all!

Beautiful place but god forbid you find a wild animal and need help. The biologists 'advice' killed 5 birds all because she didn't want to spend the time to care for them for 2 weeks until they were fledged. She also acted like I was a complete idiot and was super condescending. If you see this, I hope you at least learn to treat people with more respect rather than just shut them down.

My partner and I decided to go here after the new year started and we were both pleased with the experience. Both of us have such fond memories of the center from when we were kids in the 1980s on school field trips. The center is still as fascinating and tranquil as it was then. My favorite exhibit was definitely the aviary. It was the first time I ever saw a bald eagle up close. The lake and the carnivorous plant bog were so idyllic and eye catching; we didn't want to leave. It was like something out of a nature painting. The classroom was also a highlight with live reptiles. We are going to adopt an animal and will definitely be returning here often to donate and be with nature. It is almost like a gasp of fresh air in the midst of a chaotic city. We are both eagerly anticipating the bi-annual "Skywatch" event.

Very cool park. I took my daughter there for a home school field trip. While the building is not open due to Covid, there are still plenty of animals to see out doors. And some cool trails to walk as well.

My children and I visited during the fall open house. We went into the Star Lab, walked the grounds to view the animals and did a little rock painting. Over all it was very fun and educational.

The best place ever to go out in nature. As a child and as of a adult. Very relaxing place to visit. The best research, and concern for insects, and animals. The best is to know everything is safe there. Keep up with the best staff ever.
