I delivered tires to Douglas Automotive and I have to say that my experience with Brian(service advisor) and Alex(owner) was exactly what you would expect from a small business up in the mountains. Friendly, courteous, and always happy customers in shop. On occasion would deliver to Nevada City location. Jeff the service advisor was just the same! If you're ever in town and looking for a solid business, these guys are your huckleberrys.

Thankfully, my Toyota has never needed any major repairs in 14 years, and not that replacing spark plugs is major, but it falls under necessary maintenance. The guys at Douglas were great, answered questions, checked the tire's pressure, and explained their warranty. The price was within the ballpark~

My favorite automotive shop closed down after Covid and needed to find one I trusted. We all know how hard it can be to find a shop that is good at what they do and you don’t feel like your taken through the ringer. It’s also known that women tend to get taken advantage of when their cars need repairs.

I was referred to Douglas Automotive through a good friend. Alex, the owner is a super solid dude. I completely trust, not only his expertise but his ethics.
The shop is always incredibly busy, if that’s any indication of how well this auto shop is ran, people come back.

Brian is Alex’s right hand man and runs the front of the shop. He is a nice guy, straight forward and very efficient. He also makes popcorn which my kiddo loves.

The shop is clean, they are knowledgeable, and trustworthy.

Douglas and everybody in the team are extremely kind and helpful. They are did a fantastic job in working on my van's transmission. They are calm and clear in communication, caring and accommodating. Hands down, this has been by far the best mechanics experience I have ever had. I highly recommend anyone to go here and you will not regret it. If I have a kid who wishes to be a mechanic I would send them here as an apprentice!
