Door county vet hospital, has been the best thing that happened to my husband and I when we rescued our fur baby. We got him when he had a major infection from being neutered and had follow up shots he needed as well. Everyone at this clinic was so welcoming and helpful! They took our dog gave him the best dog and then explained everything thoroughly to us about what is wrong and what we need to do. When he had a skin infection they got us in right away and again explained everything we needed to know. Our fur baby is happy and healthy and now living his best life!

When we had to put down our first fur baby we were heart broken but we made the call to door county vet hospital and the the doctor was off that day but made a special trip back in for us so that we could peacefully send our fur baby over the rainbow bridge. He went peacefully and the doctor and Hailey gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye!

This clinic is by far the best in door county and the people working at this clinic are true animal lovers. If you want the best for your fur baby bring them here you won’t be disappointed!

First photo is our angel fur baby Dakota . Second is our current fur baby Rueger.

This is my pup's vetinairy care facility, and they take such good care of him from the friendly staff to the Dr's themselves. Whether it's figuring out what's wrong and fixing an ailment or yearly checkups and shots, everyone here really loves animals, care deeply, and want the best for our pets. I know my boy is in good hands here. Thanks, guys!

THESE PEOPLE DO NOT DESERVE EVEN 1 STAR! I had the absolute worst experience at this vet office. From start to finish, it was a complete nightmare. I had to call to even walk in the building and was greeted by a person who must hate their job at the counter. The vet never took the time to explain anything during the appointment and jumped straight to recommending the most invasive, expensive procedure. After getting a second opinion from another vet, I found out that this was NOT the first or second option to consider – it’s the last resort. This felt like a clear attempt to upsell unnecessary services.

To make matters worse, I was told during my first visit that my dog would need CCL surgery on both legs. However, the person who told me this wasn’t even a vet – it was a vet assistant with absolutely zero credentials to be giving such serious advice. Turns out after further exploring that advice there is no need for surgery at all on either leg.

The vet himself, Dr. Jordon, was rude, cold, and completely unprofessional. He never introduced himself and proceeded to muzzle my dog, which was completely unnecessary. My dog has never needed to be muzzled at a vet before, and the way they handled her just seemed to stress her out even more. She was shaking so badly I could hardly hold on to her. When I called back after the appointment to let him know that the meds he prescribed were bothering her, he would not even speak with me and I had to speak with the incompetent receptionist, Jane. When your dog is having a reaction to the meds the vet prescribed you would think you would be able to get them on the phone to discuss next steps.

Honestly, after getting second opinions on everything Dr. Jordon recommended, it’s clear he is not fit to be in the position he’s in. If you want to be treated poorly, overcharged, and leave your pet traumatized, then this is the place for you! Do yourself and your pet a favor – go somewhere else. This place is the absolute worst!

I really loved this vet. I took my dog to another vet before this one because of some health issues and that vet was horrible until we found this one I loved it and the staff is great. Unfortunately we had to put my dog Brinley down March 2024 and they were so sweet sending a sympathy card and they inked her paw print. I will use this vet again when I get another dog.

We were on vacation in Ellison Bay and our dog became sick. We were very concerned about getting her medical treatment especially since we were out of town. I called several places before calling DoCo Vet Hospital. Jane was so kind to us and after completing the intake form & having our dog’s medical records sent to them, we got an appointment with Dr. Jen that afternoon. Hailey & Dr Jen were very professional & offered concrete suggestions on how to help Riley feel better. We returned home on Sunday and on Monday received a phone call and several texts from Hailey & Dr Jen inquiring on how Riley was feeling. Very impressed by that level of care and concern! I highly recommend this practice with their caring staff and expertise.

We adopt rescued senior dogs. We recently began them bringing them to DC Veterinary Hospital. Our dogs see Dr. Jordan Kobilca. He and the vet techs who care for our dogs, Hailey, Jenny and Taylor are the kindest, most caring, most compassionate professionals we have ever had care for our dogs. Our dogs have had exams, vaccinations, dental work, and surgery. The care they receive is outstanding. We also appreciate the follow up calls after every procedure. These are people who truly love animals and it show in everything they do for our pets. We HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who wants the highest level of veterinary for their pets.

I am eternally grateful to Door County Veterinary Hospital. They have helped us with six pets throughout the past four years. Dr. Jen was invaluable with helping our two old Shih Tzu’s in 2020 and 2021 during the last portion of their lives. She even checked on Lavender on a Saturday when Lavender was very sick. Fast forward to our current two Shih Tzu’s who are brothers. Dr. Jordan, Dr. Jen, Hailey, and the rest of the staff have been very sensitive to their unique dietary needs. They have also been just as knowledgeable, sensitive and kind toward my older cats, one who passed away a year ago, and the other is struggling with kidney disease. Door County Veterinary Hospital checks on him frequently and offers support and guidance so I can continue making him as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend Door County Veterinary Hospital to care for your pets.
UPDATE: once in a lifetime you find your soulmate, and mine was Peppercorn, my cat. Dr. Jen, Hailey and the rest of DC Veterinary Hospital helped me navigate Peppercorn’s care for the last portion of his life, which gave me extra time with him. I will be forever grateful for their patience, kindness and love towards Peppercorn (and me).

Zero stars, plain and simply put, your bill will always be more expensive than other vets...with less affection and work put into your animals. They'll overcharge you for absolutely everything, visits, medications, asking questions, you name it. If you call and get someone to answer, buy a lottery ticket because your lucky. I've lived all over the country with dogs my entire life, I have never had awful experiences after another with everytime thinking, eh it can't get worse. Well here I am, finally getting a new vet because this vet knows it can get away with being solely opened for profit on animals and not the care of them.
