I was going to this monastery for over 10 years. Very peaceful place and Monks here are very welcoming. And the people here are amazing. One of the best meritorious places in California.
They offer various programs even for none native people who wants to relax and practice loving kindness. Teachings that we learn from this place changed our lives. You will be glad if you visit once to see what they can offer to make our lives better.

This was my first time at Dhammawood in Jurupa Valley. Although I have been to meditation retreats and workshops and have a daily practice, I didn't know how they would arrange the entire day for "Meditate with a Monk" day. I thoroughly enjoyed the meditation practices and the dharma talks. The walking meditation was excellent! They also covered the meals and snacks and only requested a donation. They are Buddhist from Sri Lanka. The experience was very rejuvenating and I will visit again and bring a friend! I donated a good amount for the day on their website. Also, if you do attend the all-day meditation, remember during lunch to give more food offerings to the buddhist monks as I was not familiar with the practice, I just gave a spoon full to their bowl. Thank you, Dhammawood Meditation Center! 🙏🏽😊

This is a wonderful place to come and learn about Buddhism. The monks at the center are welcoming and willing to answer questions for visitors. The center also provides excellent virtual meditation sessions that can help one deal with everyday emotional challenges. I have been participating with the virtual sessions and visiting the center for several weeks now, and have found my overall approach to life improving.

I’m new to meditation and I didn’t know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised and I’ve attended three sessions so far at two different locations. Both locations were very nice, comfortable, clean, air-conditioned. The atmosphere was welcoming, floor mats and cushions are provided but there are chairs for whoever may want to sit in a chair. I love the monk’s speaking voice, and when he speaks softly, I can feel myself calming down.

This is a GREAT Buddhist temple to learn ALL things Buddhism related. Inclusive community, and they offer services in English and Sinhala (the language of Sri Lanka). The monks are nice and approachable. A perfect place for those seeking to learn about what Buddhism is all about. They have meditation sessions, chanting, and other activities. You get to learn about the principles of Buddhism in a way that is easy to understand. Check it out everyone!
