This was the best experience I've ever had getting a copy of my birth certificate. I was in and out with a copy in my hand within 5 minutes. And the man behind the glass counter was very helpful and he sounded like a radio dj. I have no problem having to go there again.

Exceptionally clean and well maintained. I walked in recently for the first time in maybe a decade and it's just as clean and well-maintained as it was then. The wait time was minimal and the staff is very friendly. The medical staff are extremely friendly and will listen to any and all concerns and will answer questions in a full, yet concise manner. I went in feeling awkward and anxious and left absolutely comfortable. They won't charge you unnecessarily and will not gouge you. This is a fantastic health resource available to the city that I would highly recommend to anyone.

I will be visiting again in a month, so I will try to update this review after that.

I got the bivalent COVID vaccine in early September 2022. By mid March I was concerned its efficacy had waned, so I contacted the Boone County Health Department as to whether I needed another. I was told, "No-you're good to go." I tested positive for COVID with a home kit on Sunday Apr 2 and feel very ill as I type this. I have to ask if this could have been avoided if I would have gotten another dose of the vaccine in mid March. Bad advice at this place.

The staff is disrespectful! Anytime you try to talk; they talk over you and make up excuses for anything! They say their supervisor said something but then the supervisor is at lunch all of a sudden. Makes no sense! Do not recommended

Notified by health department on day 11 of my daughters 14 day quarantine that she was a close contact 11 days prior and needed to quarantine the remaining 3days. Thank goodness the school system notified me ASAP otherwise we would have been around everyone those 11 days. This system needs a much better protocol for notifying close contacts in a timely manner otherwise the quarantines are pointless.

01/24/19 I called to inquire about getting my immunizations lady on the phone definitely didn't want to be at work because when she couldn't find my records, I stated that I was born here and that i was born at the University do you think I should call them? Reason I didn't call them at first is because I thought Health Department would have them since I have been there before, she said well maybe you should call the University then. 🙁 Thanks for such great service I'm still giving 4 stars because of what the Health Department does for the community.
