Take my daughter for a visit last weekend. She is considering this school fir her college. It is famous for its engineering program.

There are not much people during our visit. The campus is very nice and worth a visit. The student center looks pretty special. Looks like they converted it from an old horse stables and each cell becomes an office.

The location is very convenient just off 57 and 10.

Classes are good, but facilities suck. The school is old in general, some buildings have fairly old classrooms and restrooms. The parking is terrible here, they reconstructed the road in the campus so you can no longer park near your buildings. Now you have to park far away and walk a far distance in the campus. And sometimes you can't even find a parking place in the parking lot so you have to park really faraway and take a shuttle bus. It wastes a lot of time.

Beautiful Campus, Professors are Good,
Older professors, typically those aged 40 and above, often struggle to understand the younger generation. Our attention spans have diminished due to the influence of phones and social media; we are simply not the same. Additionally, the classrooms are in disrepair, with tiny seats designed for individuals between 4'8" and 5'5". If you are not a business student, don’t expect a decent classroom experience, which ultimately affects the way students learn.

My son attends this school and is in the Computer Science department. I am generally quite pleased with the campus and the dorms. The campus is safe and my son is receiving a good education.

My experience was marred recently however over a teacher of CS 3010 who had homework assignments that were essentially busywork. As an example, my son was asked to write 20 pages of a tedious program trace. This assignment was never graded. In fact, none of the homework was ever graded. The professor created assignments that were impossible to grade.

As a consequence of zero feedback about whether he was learning the material properly my son god a lower grade than he should have which lowered his GPA.

What is worse, when I reached out to the department head, she never provided any meaningful remediation and instead asked the **student** to take up the matter with the teacher. Ridiculous -- if the teacher could be relied upon to do what is right we would not have been in the situation in the first place.

It saddens me that my son who works so hard on his academics is being treated unfairly this way.

Cal Poly is a wonderful 4 year university. The student body is diverse if you are looking for diverse friendships. Cal Poly also offers a wide plethora of majors to choose from. I highly recommend choosing Cal Poly if you are looking to pursue higher education.

I'm a grad international student . My experience at CPP is been the worst academic experience from all aspects . Their website looks like 2013 , slow , not organized, confusing, weird log in process . Same thing goes to the Wifi and the network at the school .

Financial department will give you the hardest time in your life even if you have a full scholarship. They put a hold on my account every semester asking to pay upfront for the tuition/random fees .. etc in order to register classes . Our sponsor pay them in full for 10 international students but they make it complicated for us .

International office , one of the worst & smallest offices I have ever been to . Not helpful , no one answer the phone . They haven't solved any issue. As a foreign student that's my go to if I'm facing any challenges being here .

Working at BRIC , I was a personal trainer at the gym . Thought I would enjoyed it . But from the hiring process to on boarding , to dealing with the supervisor made the job 10x complicated than it should be . And for what ? For 10-15 hours per week .

The hospitality major department , they were few good professors but the whole program is whatever & useless . No real opportunities from this program unless you do your own business and that's what they don't teach .

I regret my time at this institution
