The service here was a true disappointment. The lady at the counter was in such a hurry that she rolled her eyes at me twice when I asked about their tea selection. Our conversation literally went like this:

Me: "Hi! Could you tell me what Storm tea means on your menu?"
Cashier: "That's just a brand."
Me: "Oh? So would it be green or black tea?"
Cashier: "I said it's just a brand. You have to choose what you want." *Gestures impatiently at fine print on the menu.*
Me: *Bending over to study fine print* "I see, so there are these different types. And what about the Yorkshire breakfast tea listed above?"
Cashier: *Rolls eyes* "That's just normal tea."
Me: *Confused*
Cashier: *Rolls eyes again* "It's just normal tea. It's not Storm tea. Storm tea is everything but the normal tea. So which one do you want?"

On the bright side, the space is pleasant. Music quite loud. Tea turned out fine. If you're looking for coffee in the area, though, I'd recommend the Observatory, just a few blocks away.

Reading the other reviews, I get the feeling that this place is frequented quite often by students, and that the staff might treat you better if you don't look like one.

I pick the quite and fancy morning spot. The place amazingly beautiful. But apparently feel so so mood drops by the answer and service that they “provide no oven or no service to re heat” my peach dannish. really this 2024 for this fancy coffee shop that attached with fancy hotel?

This is a nice lounge where you can enjoy your tea or coffee and charge your mobile /laptop.

However don’t expect any food here. They used to serve the food, now they don’t.
They offered me a cold sandwich instead - don’t repeat my mistakes and don’t order it. I didn’t manage to eat more than one bite as it was so bad. And also quite pricey.

Burr & Co London was my first stop after landing in the city, and what a phenomenal choice it was! Nestled in the heart of Bloomsbury, this gem is more than just a coffeehouse; it’s a sanctuary. The atmosphere is perfect for settling down with your laptop, thanks to plenty of plug sockets and speedy Wi-Fi, making it an ideal spot for those important meetings or just catching up on work.

The building itself, part of the Kimpton Fitzroy London, a Grade II listed Victorian marvel, adds to the charm of Burr & Co. Whether you’re craving a classic flat white, indulging in a full English breakfast, or in the mood for some delicious fries, the menu caters to every whim. And let’s not forget the cocktails – a must-try during their happy hour!

The staff at Burr & Co are incredibly friendly, contributing to a relaxing and easy-going experience. The quality of food and beverages is top-notch, all available at a reasonable price point considering its prime location. It’s a place where music gently fills the background, creating a welcoming environment that’s hard to leave.

In summary, Burr & Co is not just a hotel coffeehouse; it’s a delightful retreat in the bustling city of London. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, it’s a spot you won’t want to miss.

Awful service. The chips were delicious but their lobster in a brioche bun was not worth it.

The atmosphere is lovely. But customer service is awful. I came in and no one greeted us. We didn’t know if we just find a table or if someone will take us to a table. Very confusing. The waiters all look so sad and tired of life. No smile. I asked for something and it was hard to make eye contact with any of the waiters. And 10 minutes later, once someone saw I wanted help, they didn’t even come over and smile and ask what I would like. They just looked at me with a blank face. Just really bad service from start to finish. Such a shame since the restaurant is beautiful and the food is lovely. Service is awful.
