It's 3:17am and once again the power is out. It doesn't matter if it is quiet outside or not. This year in particular has been one outage after another even if it's just for a second it seems to have gotten worse. It's not okay when you as a customer are already struggling to pay your bill due to economic reasons. Now I have to worry about is the food in the refrigerator going to be okay because of how long the power has been out. At this point I don't know how long the power has been out. What I do know is if I don't pay that full extension amount due on Monday my lights will be out no questions asked because THAT'S THE RULE THOSE ARE THE POLICES. So I'm sitting here asking myself why my dollars continue to poor into a cooperation that continues to FAIL ME! So Whom ever wants to come for this review remember as you write...there are people out here just trying to make it and don't want to have worry about the food that continues to sit in a refrigerator with no cold air and no idea how long the food has been sitting there without and just went grocery shopping for their children. It is now 3:48 am still no power and groceries still without proper temp.

Boone Electric has been great to me, my family and our properties through and through. I paid nothing at deposit and I definitely don't have an "800+ FICO" nor am I "elderly transferring to a nursing home" as some audacious claims here may lead you to believe. However, the OP of that review also complained about their shut off windows and I can't relate to "42 days" of late notices because I pay my bills on time. Had they, I'm sure they would have been happier with their service. I know, because this company, on their dime cut down an 80+ foot sycamore tree from my front yard as preventative maintenance within a week of me calling and telling them about the tree, saving me multiple thousands of dollars! The workers were very friendly and even let me watch from a distance as I had never seen a tree be cut down and they asked when they were finished if everything looked OK before they left. I have had a few surges since we have lived here but they have been in inclement weather and are to be expected. I didn't have a choice in who offered me electric services because we are 200 ft from the city cut off and I had read these reviews before starting services, I was skeptical to say the least, however, I am pleasantly surprised and would recommend them to my family and friends.

8 years in the coop and not a single dime shared with your members. Not one year with a credit. Not enough money for the customers, but enough to build themselves a new multi million dollar building and solar farm. Nothing but lies and deceit from these crooks.

Had a bird caught on a fishing line dangling from my electric line this morning. The fire department and conservation both would not help. However the electric coop was here within 30 minutes. Fast, friendly and caring.

They also were concerned enough to fix a problem with a transformer in my backyard that I wasn't even aware of. They were very helpful. I'm very much appreciative. Thank you guys!

Billing cycle is horrible. My bill generated on the 8th - on a good week I get it the next business day via USPS, the 9th, right? Yet my bill is due on the 17th? Called because I surely thought this was a mistake - it’s not! This is their typical billing due day - 10 days and NOT business days. Rest assured they “give you a grace period” Unfortunately their service is the only offered to me, but I will ensure my next home is NOT within their service zone.

Representatives give wrong information, able to turn off service BEFORE due date, their payment portals are inaccurate, and will change policy without notice at their discretion. Far from “cooperative”.
