The Ashland City Times no longer appears to be a paper that focuses on the news in the area -- they are simply cutting and pasting stories from the Nashville Tennessean. I've tried, unsuccessfully, 4 times to have a routine "about the county" piece placed in the weekly paper and each time , it is never printed. I've called the Editor, I've taken the hard copy of the piece into the office, and nothing seems to work any longer. What happened to our local newspaper?

I have come to realize that there must no longer be a proof reader for most publications whether it be newspapers, magazines, or other forms of print from the amount of obvious mistakes that I find these days but I think the one for the June 7, 2017 issue takes the cake. That is unless the name of the newspaper has been changed to "The Ashland City Time". Maybe as a result of downsizing you are no longer "Times"?

The website for the Ashland City Times is a sub-site of the Tennessean, which are both owned by Gannett. This particular sub-site is generally only updated on Wednesdays, which means the "new" news on this site can be a week old or possibly even older. There are better alternatives for local news in the county which are updated more frequently.
