My wife just had a baby not even a week in and our little one got admitted into children’s. The first day was amazing the nurses the staff. They all were awesome. The 2nd night completely different staff. They treated my family (wife & son) like they weren’t patients. My wife had a C-Section and still trying to recover from it !! It’s 1152 pm and my son is going on 6 hours of not eating!!!!!!!!. My wife hits the call button for help and no one answers. And that’s only the surface!! Freaking pathetic I expected more. My son is there to get better not worse. If the nurse is inexperienced and won’t do her job then she doesn’t need to be there. They are playing with life and death. I swear if I could call the CEO I would and get that RN fired!!!

My son says “I love my new MRI techs Becky and Willis. I’ve been coming to Children’s for over 14 years. I want to work here one day and be an MRI Tech. I miss my favorite MRI tech, Bruce, who retired last year. I dressed up as Bruce at Halloween. I bought scrubs just like his with my own money.”

As a parent, I love this place. We’ve been blessed having this nationally recognized facility in our backyard. My son has several specialists that he sees here and he has annual imaging and treatments for his multiple diagnoses. He has received emergency care, inpatient care, outpatient services, clinic office visits for over 14 years. He has really connected with his physicians, nurses, and really all the staff he has met.

Granted there is no perfect place because people aren’t perfect. I’ve had a few complaints over the years. When I felt it was warranted I voiced those concerns to the appropriate teams and my concerns were addressed.

Most importantly, I’ve felt my child was loved and cared for by everyone there. The facility is clean and well maintained. I get prompt call backs from the clinics. I appreciate the smiling faces of the staff and the expertise we’ve found in the clinicians. I’ve felt supported as a parent.

A pic of my son in his Halloween costume is attached. He really bought those scrubs with his own money and made his own name tag.

GO TO MEMPHIS! This was a pathetic excuse for a hospital!! I don't like to down people but wow... Talked down to us like we were overreacting, and trying to move us along. Treated my son like he was stupid for not understanding something completely new. Male nurse doesn't need to work with kids. Would not do an MRI like the transferring hospital ordered. Hospital was GROSS. not only was our experience bad but the people who came in after us had a baby with a head injury and they didn't act like it was even a pressing matter because they were busy. MAKE THE DRIVE TO MEMPHIS

Children’s Hospital is by far one of the best. Everyone was amazing when my son was burned and spent two weeks there. My granddaughter sees doctors there now and it amazing the care and love they give the children there.

I had an appointment August 9 and the burn team was amazing. My baby was nervous and to tell the truth, so was I. Samantha and Brittany made us feel comfortable and I appreciate those ladies the most! Whew..I didn't know how my son was going to deal with this situation, but they coached him/us through it! Thanks again ladies

Called to make a specialty care appointment. Told I'd receive call back within 48 hours. No call. Called 6 more times to connect with someone after the 48 hours. No answer. Called again, explained need for appointment, was hung up on twice. Called back again to make appointment, left on hold for over 20 minutes. Called again, given appointment 2.5 months from now. Have never encountered service like this in my life. Should not be this difficult to have my daughter seen by a doctor.

I took my son to the ER. Ashley in triage, along with Corey and Mikayla, was great. Dr.Mccarson helped my three-month-old so much, and I'm very thankful for them! Although Adrienne in registration wasn’t friendly, she should have considered taking a B12 Shot and a happy pill.
