My friends and I attended the first, because of the brave 5k today. What a beautifully campus with over 20 structures a pond a bridge and so much history. The buildings are so beautiful and the grounds are kept up to perfection. What an important part of history.

I was very impressed with the quality of this place today. I grew up in the historic triangle of Virginia, so I've been to all of the real sites that have been recreated here for American Village. Super high-quality and very well done! I highly recommend everyone take a visit.

I still haven’t gone into the facilities, but 10/10 recommend the Tulip Festival in March.

This place was awesome! We went to see the fireworks on July 4th. My only regret is that we didn't get there much earlier, when their day started, for all of the Independence Day activities. We will definitely be back there next year, and we will be there early!

Awesome history experience! I loved the reenactments and historic costumes. Lots of buildings to visit which take you to another time and place. My favorites were the Gathering Tree and the Oval Office. The grounds are beautiful and were a nice walk. There is a small fee, which Im sure supports the staff and upkeep. I wish i had arrived when they opened because we missed some of the reenactments. There are restrooms throughout the grounds.

We were in the area and pulled in to find out about the cost and what there was to see. $11 each adult - Great discounts for children and Veterans are FREE.

Campus, building, exhibits, and staff are top notch. We are full-time RV travels and have paid 3xs thus admission for similar attractions - Very Much worth checking out!

Visited on a Tuesday. The weather was hot. And it rained a bit. So that canceled some of the outside activities for us. We really only got the opportunity to see one presentation, that being the wartime surgeon. That young man did an awesome job. I suggest this as a group activity as a couple of activities that should have been in play either canceled due to late arrivals or otherwise. Maybe groups will be given a broader window to get settled. Will only go back myself if with a group.

Visited the American Village today on a field trip with my son and his 6th grade class. I went expecting a replica town from the revolutionary war period with lots of reading facts and looking at pictures. What we experienced was a whole crew of talented reenactors who were in character whether working their area, or just meeting them on the sidewalk.

We started the day in a town meeting at the Colonial Chapel, then had a lively meeting of the Virginia Convention at the Courthouse. From there, we learned about musket guns and that it required at least two teeth, preferably one on top and one on bottom, to open the packet of gunpowder. The person working the musket station was a crowd favorite among the kids and the adults!

We learned about the use of secret coding and messaging among the patriots, Paul Revere’s midnight ride, and so much more! If you get a chance to go, I recommend 10 out of 10 🌟!
