Beware. I was offered a great package over the phone. After technician installed the equipment and presented the docusign the cost tripled. I canceled the service. The tech took my old security equipment down but would not put my old security he took down back up. I'm left without any security equipment and no doorbell just wires hanging out front. I'm very disappointed. He could at least put my old equipment back. I cannot reinstall my old cameras and equipment. He took it down but told me it's my responsibility.

Good name, terrible customer service in Chattanooga. Poorly trained phone staff give conflicting advice and the installation staff is unreliable. In fact , ADT has a working relationship with the police but don’t even keep up with the police security changes that DIRECTLY affect ADT customers. ADT is a big expensive failure and more of a liability to homeowners now, leaving them ASAP.

I am paying monthly for equipment that has not worked for over a year. I called to get it repaired and they told me someone would call to walk me thru it but no one ever called. The system beeps that a camera battery is low. I am 68 years old. How am I supposed to climb up to the camera to change the battery. If there is a power failure your system shuts down and does not reset and the cameras only work part time. Don't waist you money on ADT.

The security company I had been using sold out to another company. The new company’s rates were considerably higher. I did my research and learned that ADT had a very good reputation with their customers. I called ADT and spoke with a representative named Nathan, who answered my questions as much as possible over the phone. I was impressed with his answers and set up an appointment for ADT people to come into my home and assess my needs. The ADT tech was very knowledgeable in his skills and explained how the system works in terms I could understand. He also pointed out the importance of adding a fire detector. I appreciated the fact that Nathan called me while the tech was here, to ask if I had any questions or concerns not answered by the tech. The ADT offer I received was affordable, and had better high-tech features than the alarm system I previously had…. I’ve had my ADT system for over a year now and have had NO problems. And, after all this time, Nathan is still available to answer any questions which may arrive. *Service after the sale is important, and ADT delivers. I highly recommend everybody who is interested in having a security system to check with ADT company before making their decisions.

ADT contracted with me to provide security in exchange for a monthly fee for 3 years. In year three, the system stopped dialing out. ADT offered to upgrade my equipment if I would sign up for 36 more months. ADT did NOT offer to repair the existing equipment. In March 2024, I again reported the issue and asked to be released from my contract. ADT said no. Fast forward to August - with one month left on a contract ADT was not performing on, I took the drastic measure of canceling the credit card with the ADT auto payment. Now ADT is harassing me for payment for the final month of a 36-month contract ADT has not performed on - $50 dollars. I paid for 35 months and many of those months ADT did not perform and they were aware of the issue for the final 6 months of the contract. Sharing for awareness.

My system hasn’t worked in the last 3 years. We kept it because the camera worked. Now, the camera doesn’t work and we tried to cancel. They said we signed a contract through 2026. I asked to see this contract and it couldn’t be produced with my signature. There’s a reason you see tons of 1 stars. Please do not use them. They are terrible.

Beware of sales pitches verses actual contract terms and facts! I was presented with a two year contract and ownership of the equipment after the contract.. only to find out later it was a 3 year contract and the equipment won’t work. Not even chime with doors opening. As a realtor with ADT trying to be a vendor of ours this will be shared with all to avoid any further misrepresentations to other consumers! Even the lady on the phone apologized and said she heard this all the time of people being misled!

Not normal for me to leave a negative review however when subscribing to ADT four and a half years ago I was told that by purchasing the cameras and the equipment that I would still be able to use them in the event I had to disconnect the monitoring. The only problem being that ADT would not monitor the equipment. Fast forward four and a half years later and I canceled the monitoring service and now magically the cameras can't be accessed because they changed the username and password so that I can't get into the app. I've called several times and spoke to several different people who assure me this works however no one can seem to figure out why mine doesn't. What I believe is that they change the username and password so that you can't use the cameras (duh) but I'm now removing them because apparently they still can. Zero Stars for not being honest.
