Breakout Mentors is fantastic! All three of my kids (13, 13, 10) work with coding mentors, and two of my children have been with the program for over five years. I love the Breakout mentor model - my kids learn to code not by walking through predetermined steps, but by being supported through fun and exciting self-directed projects that they help design and want to see through to the end. My kids look up to their mentors and have wonderful relationships with them - even online during the pandemic. They truly enjoy time with their mentors and look forward to their coding time each week. And Brian, the founder, is professional and easy to work with. I highly recommend Breakout Mentors!

I have researched and experienced a lot of organizations/schools that help students with coding and competition preps locally as well as virtually. I must say Breakout Mentors by far has been the best of all out there. If you are reading these reviews out of curiosity in the middle of your research to find a tutor/school for your child, don't waste any more time/effort/money. My child is extremely well prepared for the upcoming competition solely because of the extremely bright and experienced tutor who has taken my daughter under her wings and the level of detailed tutoring has been just phenomenal! My son was interested in learning some coding and we tried Breakout Mentors to see if it was a good fit for him. He was anxious about taking a class with other kids and was hoping for a one-on-one situation where he wouldn't be self-conscious. He couldn't be more happy. It has been over a year now that he has been working with his mentor - a Stanford student who is a CS major - and he LOVES it. His coding sessions are his favorite time of the week. He can't wait for them to come and he does work on their projects outside of his coding time. Also, they work on things he wants to work on. He came up with an idea for a game and they have been coding it for several months now, going through the steps, staying organized, finding bugs and working them out. He loves it! I cannot recommend Breakout Mentors enough!
