I have known Arunita for many years. Long before she got into this profession. She is doing a great job for the community. It has taken me over a month to calm down and write this review. I will NEVER want someone go through the unprofessional experience we went through with this vendor.

My daughter was getting married in OH; however, immediate family and most of the guests were coming from out of down. My sister was paying for the makeup for herself, my daughter and me along with a close friend. My daughter had a trial makeup done before her wedding, which she loved, so we picked this vendor. We did indicate to her that we were on a tight timeline with no time to redo. On the day of my daughter's wedding nothing was done correctly.

1) The trial make up was pretty; however, on the wedding day my daughter looked like a typical Bollywood actress with loud makeup. Arunita said it will make her pictures better; the opposite occurred. Her makeup was loud and did not suit her or her wedding dress. Due to the tight wedding schedule redo was not an option for us.
2) She didn't use the correct body tape for her tikka as a result all the wedding pictures captured her tikka all over the place which after multiple attempts did not stay in place.
3) She wanted baby breaths on her hair. Which I requested her to bring incased I couldn't find them as we were coming from Northern VA. She didn't. Someone had brought roses for the wedding, and she said they were too large to apply to her hair as a result she pulled petals off the rosed and put it in her hair. Not the impact we were looking for. The petals wilted after an hour.
4) I asked her to drape her dupatta. I even provide safety pins. The dupatta draping was a joke. She didn’t use safety pins and as a result the dupatta kept falling down and had to be fixed constantly. She anchored her head dupatta with a cheap pear ornament which made everything look trashy.
5) We paid for a guest to have her hair done provided pictures of a bun. They gave her ringlets that you would give a 5-yr old. She was close to tear when she first saw her hair. At least there was time for her hair to be fixed. This should not have happened especially when you provide a style wanted and pictures of the person in advance.
6) As the mother of the bride. I asked for guidance for a hair style for my thinning hair and we had several conversations about what it should look like. I purchased everything she asked me to. My hair bun looked horrible (I don't even know what I would call it) and nothing like the video she sent me. My tikka kept falling. At least she fixed mine because it dropped down to my nose as I was running around.
7) I asked her if there was any way to fix some of the wrinkles on my neck. She and her helper laughed at me and said I should try Botox. Real professional!!!!

She did not pay attention to any of the lady's work unless we pointed out something. She was on the phone all the time. She should have come prepared and taken her personal business elsewhere.

This vendor should be ashamed of themselves. We spent 10K on video and photos for the wedding plus what my sister paid for her service. The wedding pictures and video now are a constant memory of how horrible a job she performed. Maybe this happened because we were from Nothern VA and my daughter who move to OH less than a year ago would not know anyone. Bottom line is, I want local people to know what happened to us.

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Aruita for our event, and she was nothing short of fantastic! From the start, she was warm, professional, and incredibly thoughtful. A few weeks before the big day, she met with me in person to discuss our ideas and preferences, making sure we felt confident and excited about the looks we wanted.

On the day of, she came to our home and worked her magic on all of us — hair and makeup were flawless. Aruita has a calm and friendly presence. Before she left, she even gave us a little sample of the lipstick she used, so we could touch up later in the evening. Such a thoughtful touch!

She also connected our party with an amazing henna artist who was just as talented and lovely to work with.

Arunita is simply superb. She gives a perfect suitable makeup and hairstyle according to one’s complexion. It does justice to ones occasion.
