I did go in and talk to someone this morning (7/15). I guess this is because of the WI Public Service Commission but I'm still upset but my account is now showing that it's current so I changed the rating from 1 star to 4 stars.

I just moved to Rice Lake in October 2023 and I have never had a problem with any utilities company in my 66 years I've been alive. I changed my bank acct and forgot to change it on my RL acct this month so the e-check didn't go thru. It was an honest error as I forgot I had my old checking acct set up. When I noticed my payment hadn't gone through I IMMEDIATELY made another payment but due to the 4th of July it didn't make it by the 5th. I also paid a $25 fee for the returned e-check. I couldn't believe it when only a day or so later I got a threat that they were going to shut off my electricity!!! I could see if I was months behind but only a few days!!! Never in my 66 years has something like this happened to me. This is definitely senior abuse! I will be going in today and sincerely hope they will fix this and make it right as I've paid what was due plus more! I feel like I'm being treated like a criminal for an honest mistake.

Worst business in the state hands down. Harassing me and threatening me with disconnection over a bill less than 50 dollars that accidentally got returned which I paid before the notice was even sent back out and now holding a gun to my head over 25 dollars in a classic stickup which there payment option charged me the full payment again which I have now paid 200 dollars on a 50 dollar for no reason. I have filed a complaint with the Attorney Generals Office because I the age of the criminally corrupt and incompetent is over.
