I lived in the Stevens Point (off of Riverview ave), our property managers was Deb. Deb was the sweetest, most honest person to have! She was always so helpful even when it came down to the small things. I had gotten two puppies, my boyfriend had moved in, and I had my daughter all in my time period of being in this apartment & she will always be a big part of that! Deb always took care of things that you needed, or spoke about within a few hours of you telling her. She was always on top of things!! Huge shoutout to her! She deserves an award! Would recommend her to anyone:)

BE AWARE!!

$270 per month rent increase in 2025. Rent has already been raising every year and is now well over $500 per month more than initial move in.

Do not rent here based on what you can afford today because it will raise insanely over time.

Pay is HORRIBLE. HR makes up reasons to fire you if they don't like you. The office side is the only part they care about. Crews in the field are given unrealistic expectations to accomplish. If you're hired for a specific job, expect to do more than what is in your job title. Garbage company and management.

Up until today Moon Lake Estates has been a nice place to live for almost a year. But for the last five hours my smoke detector has been beeping every 10-15 seconds. I am 66 years old and tried to get on a foot stool to change the battery but almost fell and couldn't get the battery out. I've place a phone call and online requests and ABSOLUTELY NO ONE is getting back to me.

I upped the status to 3 as maintenance did finally help me with this but it shouldn't have happened in the first place if the batteries had been up to date (batteries were marked 2021 and I moved in 2023). Thank you.

I sent in an application and warned them about the current property I live at due to decisions being made towards me that are discrimination and retaliation based. Application was denied due to the one referral done by the property I warned them about. Offered 3 landlords that had nothing but great things to say and multiple references. The declined my application even showing that I was a good tenant and had a great background other then the one complex run by my ex’s grandmother. Unfortunately I was told I couldn’t reapply and that they wouldn’t reconsider without the landlord who gave me a bad reference calling them to say they changed their mind. Staff is rude and very unhelpful.

We lived in the Eagle River location for over 7 years. Our experience with these crooks was awful! Our rent went up significantly EVERY single year that we lived there. The upkeep of the parking lot was nonexistent. If you plan on getting to work on time when it snows, you better live somewhere else. The plowing of the lot was never done in a timely manner and most times wasn't done at all the day it snowed. The garbage disposal situation was the worst I've ever seen, and I frequently would have to dispose of my own garbage off of the property because of the lack dumpsters as it relates to the amount of apartments. These people are LIARS and CROOKS! I spoke to the building manager Mike and told him we were moving out when our lease was up. He told me that we didn't give enough notice (by a couple of days) and we needed to sign a month to month lease which added $100 to that month's rent. After 7 years of living there, I thought maybe they could let a couple days notice slide...of course they did not and we paid it. ($1,195 they took from us there) When I called a 3 weeks later to see what the next step was for us to leave, I was told that we didn't take the proper steps on their BROKEN TENNANT PORTAL so we would have to pay for another month. ($1,195 they STOLE FROM US THAT TIME!) When I SPOKE to the building manager Mike initially (when I absolutely gave our move out notice at that time in person and before they charged us 2 months of higher rent due to a month to month lease we never should have had to sign) I explained that we have a severely autistic child and it wasn't easy for us to have strangers in the house repairing things as they we broken or when stuff quit working. I explained that the kitchen and bathroom cabinets started falling apart 1 month after we moved in. HE TOLD ME, FACE TO FACE that they were aware that the cabinets are complete garbage. They knew about this problem. He also told me that he would factor in the situation we were in with our special needs child when they checked over the apartment for final inspection. After living there for 7 years and paying them close to $90,000 in rent (not including the $2,400 for the last 2 months that they STOLE FROM US!) they kept our deposit (ANOTHER $1000) and sent us a bill for $4,200! They didn't factor in normal wear and tear over the course of 7 years. They charged us for light bulbs, vertical blinds that were missing, $120 for ripped foam on an air conditioner COVER! $120 for a strip of foam! And here's the best one, they are charging us $1,400 for kitchen and bathroom cabinets! The same cabinets that Mike the building manager admitted to me were very poor quality (and all the apartments had the same problem). To recap, 7 years, rent increased every year, parking lot and garbage situation was UNACCEPTABLE and when we tried to leave, our reward for being good (always paid rent on time) tenants was S.C. SWIDERSKI STEALING $7,000 from an already struggling family with a special needs child AT CHRISTMAS TIME! This is a moraly bankrupt company and the building manager Mike is a person is a liar and a person of exceptionally low character.

I really like my apartment and the apartment community. They are safe, clean, well maintained, and have great features.
However, tenants' leases fail to mention that there is a monthly fee to pay rent via the Portal, and sending a check to the main office risks it being delayed by the postal service. It is unfortunate that tenants find this out AFTER their leases are signed. An "honest" approach would be for our leases to state something like "If tenants choose the option of setting up Autopay for the monthly payment of rent, a monthly fee of $2.49 will be assessed by AppFolio"? Hidden fees and a lack of transparency are upsetting after our leases are signed.
