2 months without working electrical outlets after they said a work order was submitted to repair them. Not to mention the unit was FILTHY when I moved in and I’m still catching up with cleaning it. The heating system also does not properly work, there was preexisting damage to the walls and floors, and the unit reeked of cigarettes (I had to purchase an air purifier and it took over a month to get rid of the odor). Thankfully I have documented everything with photos, videos, and witness documentation since day 1 to prevent any potential retaliatory efforts. This would be a nice place if the maintenance workers and cleaners did their job, and if the owner showed he cared even just a tiny bit.

Fortunately organizations like the DATCP, health department, and housing authority exist to ensure landlords are held accountable for their actions (or lack thereof).

I moved into kolbe years ago, they weren't good landlords imo, the snow removal was so slow, I fell so many times on their sidewalks, they never made repairs, they weren't very "forgiving" when rent was a few days late, even when I told him we would be late due to a family emergency, Jerry understood, he still gave me an eviction notice. Ofc I paid it before all that, like I intended. However, Jerry did give me a chance. I was young, little/low credit, and we stayed at our location for years. I am grateful that I had a home for 5 years, even if there was mold, the dishwasher didn't work, and the place wasn't updated in forever, I still had a roof over my head. Based on these reviews, the properties haven't gotten better. Jerry, do better. You have so many people who rent from you, I know you can afford more maintenance people. ALSO, to the ones who leave reviews about bugs etc please PUT THE LOCATION so we know where to avoid. Thank you!

I’ve noticed that this company seems to be taking advantage of their tenants. They’re using rental increases as a way to punish people who make complaints about the property being dirty and infested. I don’t think it’s fair, and I wouldn’t recommend renting there.

I drove 2 hours to take an apartment tour yesterday. After confirming the time of the tour twice, no one from Koble Investments showed up. The photos listed on their own website of the location I was touring aren't even from that property. They are of a different building down the road. I wish I had looked at the horrible reviews of this company before I committed so much of my time to these people, hopefully you'll see this and make the correct decision to avoid them like the plague.

This is one of the best landlords I have ever had the pleasure of working with. They charge fairly prices for their rentals. Any issues I have with maintenance are always taken care of in a timely fashion. I also LOVE that they have an online portal for maintenance requests, lease agreements, and paying your monthly rent bill. The staff is all very friendly and helpful anytime I have any questions. I cannot recommend them enough. In times like today it is very difficult to find a landlord you can trust and they are top notch in my opinion! So thankful for Kolbe Investments!

I got approved with double security deposit. Then when I was ready to pay that they wanna ask for check stubs again. I got a different job so didn't have a check stub yet. I was getting unemployment and had over $8000 in bank. They denied me. I was happy because I read the reviews and glad I didn't get approved or rented to. They had a place available for over a year and said it still was being renovated. Don't waste your time applying and getting charged a $25 application fee. No matter what you approved if you have any evictions. They will ask for a double security deposit. My niece rented from them and as soon as she told them she was moving they started harassing you. Nothing is fixed and it takes them months. Don't apply or waste your time on this place. There a pathetic so called family oriented place that helps people out!!

Very bad heating system as well as maintenance. Maintenance guys don't know what they are doing. Mold on the walls and windows base!

Is okay. I rent from a different landlord before here that had black mold in the cabinets and on the kitchen walls. Here's okay, went with an oven for a few but at that time they had a guy who lived on the property but wouldn't fix anything and said he did. They fired him and things are getting fixed now. Just wish I could pay rent online or with the office cause I get paid at the end of the month and I've been unlucky with the next days being a weekend so rents a couple days late sometimes and I feel bad since someone tried destroying the box at my complex office. Sorry again that it's late here and there, but we always pay the fee on the next month which I appreciate them letting us do that. We did have a bedbug problem that came up a handful of times, and people were throwing out mattress after mattress, they moved out and now we have no issues. I don't think they were reporting it nor would the answer the door when the guys would come here to spray.
