Overall I love HEB, but it seems they can't get their act together when it comes to their fresh caught seafood bayou boil house. They announce that they're going to be open and available and they don't stay faithful to their times. It was supposed to start it 11:30 but didn't get started till 12:10. I'm not sure they can hit their profit point if they miss the lunch break. It also seems that there's a whole group of children running everything. Very un-HEB like. Oh well the product is excellent and I will have to wait. If I had an extra hour to wait, it would be another issue but I am on a deadline today. Just disappointing! HEB Bay City Texas

They had one cashier working. And a bunch of employees just hanging around at the self-checkout, chatting with each other. Why does management not have them interacting with the customer in the self-checkout seeing if they need help and making sure that they found what they needed. I left a good hundred dollars or more sitting there for them to put back in fruit and vegetables because I was not going to try to figure out how every little item had to be looked up. I will wait until I go to Lake Jackson to H-E-B plus and get what I need. I really like their customer service at the H-E-B Plus in Lake jackson! Customer service at the Bay City Texas H-E-B sucks. Come on management do better. I asked the lady on the way out if she was a manager and I told her her customer service with all her employees just standing around in the self-checkout not helping customers or even communicating with customers really sucked! This is why I shop Lake Jackson

During my recent visit to HEB, I had an unfortunate experience with one of the managers, Kayla. I was needing assistance in ordering from the bakery—and asked Kayla for assistance. Instead of being helpful, she was incredibly rude and dismissive. She seemed irritated that I was even asking for help and barely acknowledged me as she said another associate will help me instead and walked away. I understand that everyone has bad days, but a manager should never treat a customer this way. It left a bad impression, and I hope HEB addresses this issue to ensure better customer service in the future.

Very friendly, well stocked. If you have an issue like I had, they were a little bit short on customer service. Kroger and Walmart have left HEB back in the 70s. They have great employees who must jump through ridiculous hoops to take care of the customer. The delivery service was bad.

I went to the store at 1:30 pm today and I love to use self check well this time the one in charge was a manager called ALY and she had a BAD ATTITUDE AGAIN with me, i don’t know what is her problem but if you’re not happy with your job or life PELASE QUIT and leave the position to someone else who can take better responsibility of being CUSTOMER SERVICE.

This is my hometown store. On this occasion I stopped in for a few items that I wasn't familiar with and was met by a very friendly and knowledgeable staff that quickly pointed me in the right direction without being too pushy or overbearing. The checkout line was short and moved quickly with very polite cashiers.

I truly wish I could put NO STARS! Today was a very trying day! I went in but I usually do curb side 90% of the time, as I was shopping I was on the seasoning aisle & as I adjusted hair an employee walked by a stopped for a brief second, as I’m looking thru the seasoning he comes back & ask “ do you need help ma’am?” I replied with no thank you! So as I continue to shop this same gentleman ( with a wrap on his hand) was following me seems as every time I turn my head or on another aisle he is right there! So as I got some juice & start walking up the aisle the same guy along with another employee stops at the beginning & as I start walking up I looked at both & said very clear can I help y’all! They walked away, so as I’m heading to the register the one came from behind & in front of me turned the corner! As I called my boyfriend because I felt very uncomfortable and told him what was going on, he said go speak to a manager! Me being me I’m a non confrontational person so I didn’t but I sure should so they know you can’t profile people! I gave no reason to be followed & surely don’t need to steal! I felt violated & I truly need to take this to corporate!

Bay City is lucky to have this fully stocked HEB! It is worth the drive to get there when staying at Matagorda beach.
