Sign outside reads deli but I was suprised to find what was inside. As soon as we walk in a gentlemen tells us "we close in one hour for a private event", given it's 1.5 hours left until event begins. I reply "I am just going to order a sandwich, we will be out of here before that." We go order our sandwich at the deli. No one to be found on how the gaming works. So we walked around spotted the same guy he's busy watching gaming going on. I ask " can you walk us through how we rent this to play a game while we wait on our sandwich?" He said " it's $5 for an hour and turns around ." Sandwich is really good , place is really nice , robo coffee is cool and awesome to watch and surprisingly really good.

Took the grandkids they had a blast! Best pizza in town! Service was amazing. The tech help with kids was great! Kids even had to try the robot coffee machine. They even loved the drinks.
Very entertaining. Great atmosphere. Will definitely be taking grandkids again. Great afternoon.

I've been coming here regularly since moving to Athens over a year ago. I always bring my dog, Josie, along. She absolutely loves our weekly coffee dates! Lucas has been there since I first started coming, and his customer service is always excellent. Plus, he or the owner, Mr. Paul, never fail to sneak Josie a treat or two. 😊 I highly recommend Freelancers if you're looking for a calm place to be productive or game. Plus, they're about to open a pizza restaurant inside! 🍕

Had a great visit at Freelancers Cafe. We had heard so much about the robot barrista we drove down from Michigan to see it and try a Latte. We were definitely impressed. Taylor gave us a tour of the facilities. Very impressive young man and a great ambassador for the Cafe. Thanks Taylor, we will be back.

Honestly, I hate the idea of spending money for something we could do at home but my kids are homeschooled and it’s HOT outside 😂 and Freelancers has a really cool set up. My kids were so happy to come here and play games for an hour and the atmosphere really makes it a whole different experience than playing at home.
The staff is super friendly. They walked me through the whole process of setting both kids up to play and the pricing is way better than I expected. I can see us making trips here pretty frequently.
I already know my husband will be with us next time to try out the racing simulator!!

Freelancers Cafe is such an amazing place. My granddaughter had a beauty pageant and the staff was so helpful and played it on their 16 foot TV for me to watch. I had such an amazing experience. Thank you freelancers for the hospitality and amazing experience.

We have to brag on Freelancer’s Cafe. We had company from Michigan visiting us and they were equally impressed with all that it offers.
Taylor gave us a tour and answered so many questions about booking parties, playing games, and drinking and eating. He could not have been more helpful and our coffee from the coffee robot was perfect. Thank you, Taylor.

My husband & I enjoyed our lunch here. All around 5 stars for this cafe - spacious seating, good food, & friendly staff. We didn't try the coffee robot but will definitely try it next time we visit.
